Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Expat Project Manager to join our team. You will have ideally worked for a large construction company and have experience managing the following projects types:

Residential and office complexes
Industrial structures: warehouses, workshops
Infrastructure facilities
Marine works (i.e. jetty facilities, rehabilitation of jetties), port development, infrastructure facilities

Our head office is situated in the Oil and Gas Free Zone in Onne, Rivers State, Nigeria and our ideal candidate will be ready to embrace compound living and their excellent communication skills will be used as they will be part of a large multi-cultural team.

Responsibilities


  • Responsible for overall project execution, which includes establishment and implementation of project execution policy, planning, schedule control, cost control, quality control, material control, information and risk analysis
  • Ensure the preparation of project / construction schedules and periodic reports (progress, project costs, cash flow etc)
  • Ensure time schedule of project is met within the allocated cost and budget
  • Implement various construction methods required for execution of works
  • Establishment and implementation of quality control plans and procedures
  • Suggest about any additional need for equipment to perform planned activities
  • Monitor progress and performance, identify potential problems and develop remedies
  • Maintain control of costs related construction expenses
  • Ensure that verification of bill of quantities and recommend for approval of invoices.
  • Administer contracts
  • Keep in close contact with subcontractors for all constructional activities.
  • Coordinate with the Area Manager for the needs, timely deliverable and optimisation of batching plant and prefab plant



Desired Skills and Experience
The qualifications and experience we are looking for:


  • Graduate Engineer with management qualification
  • Minimum 6 years of field and project office experience
  • Experienced on construction technologies and solutions
  • Understanding of related electro-mechanical scope of work
  • Working knowledge with common software tools (MS Office / scheduling software)
  • Ability to work with co-professional from different nationalities
  • Fluency in English at working levels
