As a result of expansion in the activities of this company we now have an opening for two career minded Civil Engineers, to join our existing project team.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Programming of works
Works progress reporting
Construction resource planning and ordering
Works programme monitoring
Executing of works comprising mainly of earthworks, concreting, and asphalting sometimes in wet swamp
Working knowledge of surveying
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Materials quantity control and variance check
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

HND or BSC in civil engineering with practical experience in construction of oil drilling locations for major oil companies in Nigeria or abroad
Not less than 30 years of age
5-8 years post qualification experience
Must be familiar with Microsoft projects such as PRIMAVERA & also Microsoft excel
Must be Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) competent
COREN certified or other professional qualification is an added advantage

As a result of expansion in the activities of this company we now have an opening for a Technical/Financial Accountant; preferably the successful candidate must have worked in a construction or engineering company

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Review of resource inputs to each project and the completion certificates generated on monthly basis to ascertain effective production
Variance analysis of resource inputs and invoicing against budgeted amounts
Periodic reports on profit and loss per project to management
Review of internal control procedures in operation in the company and recommend changes where necessary
Reporting to Chief Accountant
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

A Minimum of a second class lower division degree in Accounting or Business Management and (or) Civil Engineering. An MBA, ACCA or ICAN will be an added advantage.
Not less than 30 years of age
A Minimum of 4-6 years of cognate experience in construction or related industry.

As a result of expansion in the activities of this company we have an opening for a career minded Quarry Manager, who will be fully involved in taking full control of the management of the two quarries.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Run and maintain all quarry operations
Resource planning ordering storage and maintenance
Reporting all commercial activity
Installation and facility management and maintenance
Community management and liaison
Quarrying license, royalty and toll management
Profitability monitoring
Reporting the above to the Managing Director
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

HND or BSC in Mining Engineering with practical working experience in the running of a quarry both in Nigeria or Abroad. An MBA degree would be an added advantage.
Not less than 35 years of age
Not less than 5-7 years practical working experience
Must have worked in similar capacity in a top rate quarry company in Nigeria or Abroad
Ability to assume responsibility and to interface and communicate effectively within the project management team and also other service departments in the company

Tendering procedures
Pre-contract procedures and documentation
Advance payment recovery and administration
Interim evaluation of completed works
Monthly performance evaluation
Variation order claims
Fluctuation of price claims
Executed quantity of works variance check
Contract due amount payment facilitation
Contract documentation
Contract final accounts
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate should have a BSC or HND in Quantity Surveying, could also be HNC qualified. A minimum of a second class lower is essential.
Should have 3-5 years practical Quantity Surveying experience.
Professional qualification and membership of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors will be an added advantage
Experience in managing construction projects in the oil industry will be viewed as essential.

Mife Construction is now recruiting for a Project Coordinator who should be responsible in overseeing and supervising a team of engineers to achieve a desired corporate objective. This role will involve leading project teams, as well as management of expatriates and other engineers and surveyors.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Contract management competence
Construction Project planning
Construction Project management
Liaise with other departments when reporting work progress
Manage CASHES and HSE contract compliance
Management of clients

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

HND or BSC in Civil engineering with practical working experience in the construction of oil drilling locations for major oil companies in Nigeria or Abroad
Not less than 40 years of age
Not less than 10 years practical working experience
Must have worked in similar capacity in a top rate construction company in Nigeria or abroad
Must be familiar with Microsoft Projects, Microsoft excel, AUTOCAD & possibly primavera software for preparing work programmes, monitoring, evaluating and reporting of same for construction projects
Must be familiar with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) of major oil companies
Ability to assume responsibility and to interface and communicate effectively within the project management team and also other service departments in the company

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

A Minimum of a second class lower division degree in Business Management or Marketing. An MBA with a focus on marketing or a professional degree in marketing will be an added advantage.

Due to recently securing additional contracts Mife Construction is now recruiting a Dredger Manager. The ideal candidate should know the complete structure of the dredger and its workability.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

The complete overall supervision, control and management of the dredging department in terms of the dredger outfit, equipment, materials, sand dump and personnel
Ensures that government laws and regulations are adhered to
Ensures good public relation with host communities and company customers
Participates in community relations problems settlement
Ensures that the support equipment are available and serviced for work on time
Ensures that all required materials for the operation of the dredger are made available on time
Prepares monthly reports showing total sales (both to Mife and outsiders), work & production reports etc
Monthly budget preparation
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate should have a BSC or HND in Marine Engineering or any other competency certificate in related field. An MBA would be an added advantage.
Should have not less than5 years practical experience in the running of a dredger
Must have managed the operation of a dredger
