Senior Expat HR Adviser – Recruitment and Talent

The HR Adviser is responsible for the recruitment and talent services for the various business units within the Orlean Group. This will include involvement in international and national recruitment processes and activities and ensuring best practice is adhered to and management of development programmes including graduate, high potential and management programmes as well as working with managers to ensure succession planning.
The Senior HR Adviser shall:

  • Oversee and Manage the Recruitment Officer and help to co-ordinate all group related recruitment activities
  • Assist in developing a Centre of Excellence for Recruitment
  • To ensure unified, consistent and standard recruitment processes and policies across the business
  • Design and develop key developmental programmes including high potential and management programmes
  • Ensure Linked IN platform is utilised and managed as effectively as possible by the various business units
  • Advise Managers of key HR processes and policies and support them in finding an effective outcome
  • Provide support with designing and developing compensation and benefits analysis
  • Provide support with designing and developing reward and recognition programmes
  • Work closely with the HR Admin team to ensure streamlined processes across the business
  • Work closely with the Orlean Academy and hiring managers to ensure effective on-boarding processes are created and maintained across the business

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIOSN AND EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelors degree – minimum 2:1 or equivalent qualifications
  • CIPD or equivalent in HR
  • 5 -7 years minimum experience in HR
  • Previous experience in a management role
  • Significant experience in an international setting – including outside country of origin. Candidates with experience in only one country will NOT be considered
  • Significant experience in a corporate multi-sited organisation
  • Ideally a generalist that would like to specialise in recruitment and talent

Job description
The Recruitment & Talent Officer is a new position within the Group HR Services unit. This position will play a key part in the provision of recruitment services through partnership with others members of our HR business units and key line managers. This role is responsible for ensuring that candidates with the appropriate skills, experience and organisational fit are recruited to our operations across Africa using international best practice recruitment tools, selection methods, online recruitment platforms and internal recruitment processes to ensure an efficient end to end recruitment experience.

The Recruitment and Talent Officer , working in partnership with HR colleagues across our business units , is responsible for the following:

Resource planning
Working in partnership with managers to identify vacancies and consider the options available to fill them .This will include:
• Overseeing the scheduling and co-ordination of each planned recruitment campaign
• Developing tools for early identification of potential vacancies and assessing the best approach
• Supporting managers with the authorisation processes and preparatory steps before recruitment
• Developing efficient systems that support the collating of the required recruitment documents
Attraction
This will include:
• Consistent and effective marketing with adverts, job profile and ensuring our Employer Brand
• Developing professional and productive relationships with our chosen media / web sites
• Developing and nurturing preferred supplier relationships with agencies
• Ensuring processes are in place for ensuring accuracy in documentation
• Designing and managing internal recruitment process
• Managing the in-house response handling service for both internal and external campaigns,
Selection
Responsible for giving professional advice on selection tools and managing the HR support service for the design, implementation and delivery of selection events. This will include:
• Developing the range of selection tools available such as : psychometric tests, assessment centres
• Excellent interview skills and ability to coach and develop others
• Answering speculative enquiries.
