Job Title: Instrumentation & Control Engineer

Job Description

  • Carry out preliminary, basic, and detailed instrumentation engineering studies and produce associated deliverables, e.g. MTOs, datasheets, cable routes, drawings, control philosophies, SAFE charts, etc.
  • Designing and developing new control systems
  • Review designs produced by COMPANY or contractors to ensure compliance with COMPANY instrumentation general specifications and applicable project instrumentation specifications.
  • Testing, maintaining and modifying existing systems;
  • Read and interpret facility engineering drawings and make necessary modifications or recommendations.
  • Prepare and cross-check relevant procedures, international standards and COMPANY technical specifications for application into design activities.
  • Analysing data and presenting findings in written reports
  • Managing operations; working collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers and other internal staff; liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors and relevant authorities
  • Analyse existing facilities in Client O&G and propose process improvements, debottlenecking, upgrades to efficiently decrease operations costs and enhance productivity/efficiency of plants / equipment.
  • Economical evaluation of opportunities proposed
  • Read and interpret facility engineering drawings and make necessary modifications or recommendations.
  • Review and develop philosophies and specifications in the field of expertise for Client E&P
  • Approve key engineering documentation and philosophies, standards and specifications
  • Consider and approve / reject as appropriate any request made to deviate from the approved minimum standards.


Requirements

  • Degree in Automation engineering / Process Control / Instrumentation.
  • 7 years + experience in the Oil & Gas / E&P industry.
  • Understanding of Full project lifecycle exposure: (Concept to execution) plus Field expansion development experience is required.
  • Gas /water treatment & injection/Flowstation experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant standards, norms and regulations.
  • Experience in conceptual design studies, FEED, detail design, especially for brown field developments.
  • IT knowledge and exp. In relevant engineering software applications.
  • Knowledge of the local environment and operations is an advantage.
