A Health Management Company is looking for a suitably qualified candidate to fill this position

Responsibilities:
Anticipate Business/Accounting/Tax/Regulatory ramifications of individual transactions; maintain continuous coordination with corporate accounting and control, tax experts, group management, to anticipate problems, recommend most appropriate solutions
Develop innovative analytical approaches to provide meaningful management information. Manage MIS database to increase its effectiveness as a management decision-making tool.
Provide analytical data and strategic support to the Group CFO and business heads on all economic/business/competitive environment to for strategic decision making activities.
Contribute to the strategic and day-to-day commercial decision making process.
Provide timely and accurate management accounts and to allow the business to accurately monitor performance on a continual basis.
Efficient cash flow management that ensures funding requirements are met without borrowings and debtor/creditor days are reduced to achieve budget and increase investment income.
Oversee annual budgeting process for the Company and ensure efficient monitoring, control and feedback of same.
Institution of processes to achieve Revenue Assurance & cost efficiencies.
Working with the various departments in the maintenance of financial management and reporting system including the delineation of standard income, expense, asset and liability classification. Also include the establishment and monitoring of the various types of transactions.
Ensure all financial matters, including preparation of annual accounts are undertaken in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, the group’s accounting policies and all other applicable regulatory guidelines.
Provide continuing analytical support in the operations of the business. Monitor results against operational plans; identify key problems in advance; make recommendations to the CFO and Company management. Identify main cost and cost control opportunities. Provide on-going analysis of progress, variance from plan: extrapolate trends.
Establish operation budgets for each responsibility centre based on projected operating costs and the Company’s management plan.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Chief Finance Officer.

Qualifications and Requirements:
A good university degree.
ACA(ICAN), CIMA, ACCA qualifications are required.
Minimum of 10 years working experience in a senior financial management or accounting function.
Experience in the insurance and/or healthcare sector will be an advantage
Strong financial and business management capabilities, versatility in financial accounting, analysis and modelling and treasury skills.
Financial management skills - ability to analyze P&L statements, develop operating budgets, forecasting and capital expenditure planning.
Exposure to financial modelling with multi-year modelling, quarterly forecasting and compliance with generally acceptable accounting principles.
Strong financial and business management capabilities, versatility in financial accounting, analysis and modelling and treasury skills.
Financial management skills - ability to analyze P&L statements, develop operating budgets, forecasting and capital expenditure planning.
Exposure to financial modelling with multi-year modelling, quarterly forecasting and compliance with generally acceptable accounting principles.
Leadership - successful track record of managing a finance function to a high professional standard.
