Hamilton Lloyd and Associates - Our client is a leading distributor of electronics in West Africa with branches all over Nigeria and have over 1000 employees. Due to internal expansion in their Lagos branch, they have decided to hire an Accounting Officer.

Job Title: Accounting Officer

Job Location: Lagos

Role Summary:
Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, examination and analyzing of financial statements, responsible for record keeping, bank reconciliation statements, support budgeting process, monitor compliance with GAAP and company’s procedures. Reviews, investigate, correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and related activities
  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.


Qualifications
Education/Experience:

  • HND, BSC in Accounting
  • Minimum of up to 2-3 years experience
  • Working proficiency in excel
  • Exposure to ERP packages /accounting related software packages would be a added advantage
  • Professional certification will be an added advantage
