Job Description
Develops plans, costs, and schedules as well as supervises the operations necessary in the process of drilling oil and gas production, appraisal and exploration wells. Also performs well intervention operations with designs and construction of the water disposal/injection wells.
Job Responsabilities

  • Conduct DWOP, CWOP, WWOP & AAR meetings for all wells scheduled in the Technical Work Program and ensure that comments from these meetings are fed back into the future drilling and completion programs.
  • Working with multidisciplinary professionals to evaluate the commercial viability of the well and monitor progress during drilling.
  • Manage Drilling and Completion contracts by ensuring that the right set of tools are called off from the appropriate contract without exceeding the ceiling value and the contract validity
  • Make valuable contributions / review to well proposals from the Asset
  • Prepare detailed and executable Drilling/Completion/Workover program a week from spud.
  • Prepare AFE cost estimates and analysis. Track / control the actual well cost on daily basis to ensure all well related cost are captured based on the planned AFE
  • Timely delivery of the End Of Well Report
  • Communicate learning and advise on potential areas of performance improvement or improved value to the SDE.
  • Contributing to conceptual field development design
  • Monitoring the daily progress of well operations and current daily costs, comparing actual costs with cost expenditure proposals and recommending changes or improvements to rig work techniques, which could lead to optimization of expeniture.

Qualification and Requirements

  • A good university degree in any Engineering course
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • The analytical ability to think through potentially complex problems and develop solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of teamwork skills and the ability to cooperate with others
  • Good technical understanding of the scientific principles of disciplines such as geology, physics, maths and chemistry
