    Openings for Experienced Drilling Engineers

    A Nigerian Indegenious oil servicing company needs experienced drilling engineers. The details are given below for specific jobs. Send your Resume if your qualified to [email protected] before 20th July 2009.
    Positions;
    1.Deepwater drilling representative; with not less than 17 years working experience (3)
    2.Deep water Rig site Materials and Logistics Manager with 15 years experience(2Nos)
    3.Deepwater HES safety Representative • Planning of Operation: During planning of operation, frequently monitor JSA/THINK planning process for additional identified hazards, procedural issues, participant engagement, and administrator engagement of crew. Mentor crew members.
    • Assess the HES “attitude” of the rig site personnel and organization. Advise Chevron Rig Supervision and Lagos Management on both positive and areas of improvement needed.
    • Serves as the principal coordinator of START/STOP Behavior Based Safety System tracking report. The START/STOP tracking report insures a thorough review of daily START/STOP cards and records personnel and equipment issues that need follow-up. The tracking report also provides valuable feedback to the crew members ensuring that their observations are addressed by Chevron/Contractor/Service Partner management..
    4.Fluids Field Representatives(3Nos).• QA/QC drilling and completion fluids for the rigs, mud plant, and support bases
    • QA/QC cement at the rig and in town
    • QA/QC solids control equipment, waste management, and lab equipment. Ensure Solids Control Equipment is functioning properly.
    • QA/QC on transfer tickets, delivery tickets, and relevant paperwork

    5.Fluids Office Advisor (3Nos);• Establish drilling and completion fluids program along with lessons learned and best practices
    • Make recommendations and changes to Pre-approved Drilling Fluids Programs only after performing Pilot Test and via a management of change process
    • Establish and maintain fluids metrics (mud, cement & completion fluid) for all the rigs and all relevant categories.
    • Publish metrics monthly.
    • Maintain inventory, process invoices, and develop well recaps. Monitor warehouse products to maintain sufficient levels
    • Attend all meetings including morning rig call ins, HSE, risk assessment, root cause analysis, vendors, drilling supts, presentations, etc.

    6.Senior Completions operations Engineer:• Liaises with the Houston based Agbami Well Construction design team assuring executions personnel and contractors are aware of and have incorporated MASP & other design basis issues into their execution plans. Confirms nodal analyses for tubing and perforation design, and erosion calculations. Confirms appropriate metallurgy & seal materials are being provided, highlights the fish-ability issues in the design and addresses same in procedures, documents issues related to hole angle, Drill-in fluid and production casing interface with drilling, highlights issues related to well clean-up for completion, addresses completion fluid (packer fluid chemicals), confirms, perforation design & procedure, validates design and installation of sand control, confirms requirements for packers, seals, etc, tubing design and completion procedure issues.
    • Develops the detailed step by step completion procedures, in cooperation with all service contractors, drilling operations engineers, and the Houston based Agbami well design team. Assures rig site personnel are well indoctrinated to the procedural steps, timing and logistical requirements of same.
    7.Senior Drilling Operations Engineer(3Nos);• Monitors daily rig operations and acts as liaison between offshore and Lekki based drilling team to ensure all well objectives are clearly understood.
    • Provides rig site supervision or assistance during critical operations such as well control situations. Works closely with Drilling Representatives to handle routine operations not requiring intervention by the Drilling Superintendent,etc

    8.Senior Drilling Engineer-knowledge & technology cordinator(4Nos):• Manages a comprehensive technical limits well construction performance process which addresses consistency across each phase of the wells, from the cost estimation process through the rig site documentation process. The process includes management of a database for the tracking of Non Productive Time (NPT), Unscheduled Events (UE), Lost Opportunity Time (LOT), Perfect Well Ration (PWR) and HSE events, by hole section and or well component. Coordinates with rig site operations personnel to assure consistency in rig site documentation practices and in the development of rig site daily action plans which serve as technical limits check lists to facilitate the achievement of the technical limit on a regular basis. Implements processes and systems which assures the capture, documentation and recycling as well as sharing of lessons learned and outlining the history of change.

    9.Drilling Material Cordinator:• Coordinates and expedites the movement of consignment equipment and materials, stock materials, and rental equipment. This coordination is to be done between Warri Dock, Escravos Base, and Port Harcourt. Prioritize shipment of equipment, materials and personnel achieved through constant communication with D&COT, warehouse, Drilling Ops Engineers, Senior Drilling Superintendent, Contractors and Logistics. Consolidation of cargo from various contractors into well packaged shipments for complete delivery of rig specific materials to rigs in timely manner. Liaison between Drilling Group and all Service contractors regarding equipment being shipped back and from Service contractors. Coordinates the movement of all personnel via boat, helicopter and plane. Capable of working any of the various bases in operations in Nigeria. Coordinates movement of cargo not only by sea from PH to Escravos and rigs, but also across land and rivers through Warri. Good knowledge of drilling and workover equipment to insure proper equipment is loaded out to insure no delays or rig shutdowns occur. Duties performed on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis. Provides support to the Drilling Representatives through high degree of communication skills and knowledge of drilling equipment to accurately address complex and/or ciritical situations for addressing material requirements.

Wells are also internally and externally benchmarked by well component.
    • Coordinates and manages Service Contractor performance management tools via utilization of NPT, UE, LOT, PWR (Non Productive Time, Unscheduled Events, Lost Opportunity Time, Perfect Well Ratio) & HSE databases and collaborative workshops wherein responsibilities are assigned and items are driven to closure. Coordinates assignment of contractor performance sponsors and formation and monitoring of contractor performance improvement teams

    • For each completed well, prepare an ‘Audit Worksheet.’ This worksheet is the first step in the identification of areas that need to be investigated (charges coded incorrectly) or the need for supplements (actuals higher than field estimates or AFEs)

    • Prepare and submit AFE closure form when well is complete.
    • Co-ordinate the preparation and submission to Finance group of the Completion certificates for completed wells
    • Input monthly estimates in JDE and monitor accruals.
    • After the accrual process is run, but before accounting closes for the month, run the “Performance Report” to identify errors in accrual calculation, AFEs that show an open status but should be closed, AFEs that are not mapped to the appropriate NAPIMS budget. Take corrective action before month-end close.
    • Budget planning and preparation assistance for on and offshore Drilling & Completions G&A.
    • Assist DW D&C in the NMA SLA process; engage shared services entities to track them against their Shared Services Performance Agreements
    • Prepare weekly and monthly spend reports. Perform trend analysis on expenditures.
    • Representation at PSC meetings on drilling related cost issues with assistance from drilling engineers.
    • Assist Service Partners by engaging Finance regarding invoice payment issues (non-payment, late payment, lost invoices, etc.)
    • Review and implement improved financial processes within the drilling group and between drilling and other groups.

This coordination includes -:
    • Arranging & confirming with ITC international travel requests (air ticket, airport transfers, boarding passes, etc.),
    • Coordinating visa requests originating in Nigeria / Mid-Africa, and
    • Arranging & confirm with ITC adequate lodging accommodations for temporary DW personnel and visitors.
    • Provides single point of contact for DW travel logistics requirements in-country
