You write a cover letter.

Sort of like an executive summary of your CV. You explain why you are applying to the job and what makes you the ideal candidate. Basically about selling yourself.

Google cover letters to see templates but basically it's just as easy as the simple "composition" we use to write in primary/secondary school.
