    Bank resignation

Guys kindly clarify this statement for me; to resign you need to give the bank one month notice or one month salary in lieu.

Does this mean One can go immediately by just paying one month salary?
What If u were paid like yesterday can u just say keep that one and then leave ?

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Bank resignation

There is a certain amount the bank is supposed to pay u off. When u resign, they calculate that money n subtract one month salary from it n they give u the rest. It could take several months. Or another option is for u to tender ur resignation, wait till one month n leave. U wont be paid for that one month. So the money they are suppose to use in paying u off is not deducted from. Thanks

    Re: Bank resignation

The amount you will pay inlieu of notice is your basic salary for the month excluding your allowances.

From experience,as an ex-banker,you can drop your letter with the cheque and make sure you get an acknowledged copy from your boss or secretary. You may be asked to make a hand over note and there after leave.

You may however be called for exit interview.

BUT DONT LEAVE WITHOUT ANOTHER JOB,DONT LEAVE BECAUSE OF YOUR JOB CHALENGES

going by his question, I am sure BIGGER BOY is quoting word for word from his condition of service booklet.
If the booklet says one month salary it means that and not one month basic. On that note it should be your one month.Nevertheless it is better you use wisdom to enquire from older hands as monies commited often times may not be refunded immediated where it is not a one man business
