Employment with USAID in Nigeria
USAID/Nigeria is firmly committed to the principles of equal opportunity and fair employment practices, both of which are integral parts of the Mission’s recruitment and employment policies. When filling a vacancy, the Mission attempts to recruit candidates who are not only qualified for a given position, but who also have the potential to expand their skills and knowledge while working at USAID/Nigeria. When there is a vacancy, USAID/Nigeria recruits either locally or internationally, depending on the type of position, by placing a job announcement in publications with wide distribution. The announcement includes a description of the position, the qualifications required, the procedure for applying, and other pertinent information. What follows in this section is general information about the types of employment opportunities available at USAID/Nigeria and how to find out about specific vacancies.
