Sirius Energy Resources Ltd is a subsidiary of Sirius group. It is an indigenous company with vested interest in the trading of petroleum products including: AGO [Automotive Gas Oil], PMS [Premium Motor Spirit], LPFO [Low Pour Fuel Oil], DPK [Dual Purpose Kerosene], ATK [Aviation Turbine Kerosene], LPG [Liquefied Petroleum Gas] and various lubricating oils and greases, within Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa.
Sirius boasts of a team of seasoned professionals, who cut through banking & finance, project development and management, international trade, new business development and management, who provide consulting services in various areas including; Products purchase, Distribution planning and delivery, Storage, Importation and sourcing.
Job Title: Accountant
Department: Finance department
Reports to: Head of Finance
Location: Victoria Island
Responsibilities:
- Monthly preparation of management account
- Daily preparation and posting of all petty expenses
- Calculates and prepares reimbursement billings and tracks receivables; reconciles monthly accounts receivables.
- Prepare payroll
- Responsible for all Tax issues, WHT, VAT etc
- Reconciles General Ledger Balances and Subsidiary Accounting.
- Analyzes and reconciles expenditure and revenue accounts, including trustee accounts and investment reports.
- Prepares audit schedules for external auditors.
- Prepares and files financial statements.
- Assists with the preparation of the annual and mid-year budgets.
- Assists with fiscal year-end and fixed assets accounting.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Educational Requirements:
- Minimum of university degree with a BSc in Accounting
- Professional qualification like ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage
Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of 3years relevant work experience
- Excellent analytical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a team
- Preferably someone with some experience in the oil & gas industry
