If you work in a company as Administrator or you are thinking of dazzling your prospective employer about your suitability for the job you are vying for, then you need to know how Terminal Service on Server 2008 works.

I’ve been using Terminal Service from Server2003, but this feature on Server 2008 is mind blowing, I mean it. Terminal Services offers a way for users to run a session on a Terminal Server using Remote Desktop Client. It’s not the same with Remote Desktop service, although the later is an enhancement of the former. I’ve used Server2008 Terminal Services, and can tell you, it’s a wonder.

Possible Scenario where you may need Terminal Server(s)
Maybe your company needs to roll out new line of service applications, and the new hardware/software requirements of the application will exceed the current requirement. Also, and your company is not ready for upgrade. Possibly, you also want users to use applications from anywhere in the world.
Then, you’ll surely need Terminal Server.

This class will focus on;
1. Installing Terminal Services Role
2. Installing Terminal Service Additional Role
3. Configuring Session on Terminal Server
4. Configuring a Server to Host Remote Apps Program: TS RemoteApp is an inbuilt technology that enable you to publish applications-that is, make them available to remote users. We’ll use 3methods for to achieve this;
a. Deploying a RemoteApp Program using TS Web Access (Nigeria Graduate Jobs Vacancies Career Forum | Naijahotjobs.com)
b. Creating an RDP file of a RemoteApp Program for Distribution.
c. Creating a Windows Installer Package of a RemoteApp Program for Distribution.
