A new event center in a very commercial area of Lagos; seeks to employ a Manager / Marketing Executive. The successful candidate will be involved in the daily management of the centre, as well as developing marketing campaigns to promote the Centre’s services. This role will include responsibilities such as planning, advertising, public relations, organizing events, product development, distribution, and research. The role will often be challenging however, it is also dynamic and exciting.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will contribute to, and develop, integrated marketing campaigns. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
· Communicating with the target market (Corporate Organizations and Churches) and managing customer relationships
· Sourcing and securing new business relationships for the Centre.
· Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press - local, regional, national and specialist publications - or on the radio, depending on the management’s approval.
· Managing the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters.
· Effectively distributing marketing materials, flyers, Brochures and Proposals;
· Maintaining and updating customer databases, sending out seasonal promotions and mailers to customers;
· Organizing and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
· Conducting market research such as customer feedback questionnaires
· Contributing to, and developing, marketing plans and strategies;
· Managing budgets and expenses of the centre
· Monitoring competitor activities in addition, spotting and reporting new industry trends to the management.
· Supervising other employees such as the cleaners and contractors
· Submitting weekly call reports and leads to Line Manager.
Person Specification:
· First Degree (At least 2nd Class Lower)or HND (Lower Credit) in a relevant discipline in Marketing, Business Administration or other Social Sciences
· At least 2 years work experience in a similar position
· Strong knowledge of the industry and / or market activities within the Event Management industry will be an added advantage.
· Be highly creative, IT-savvy & well experienced in the use of the Internet and Social Media/Blogging as effective marketing & advertising tools.
· Have entrepreneur mindset with sound business acumen.
· Have friendly caring “I Can Do” attitude
· Show verifiable track records of performance and target delivery in previous jobs
· Superior Customer Service skills
