Job Description
Emerging Markets Telecommunication Services (EMTS), trading as Etisalat, is a Nigerian company duly incorporated under the laws of Nigeria in partnership with Mubadala Development Company and Etisalat of the United Arab Emirates. Incorporated in Nigeria as a private company, it acquired the Unified Access License from the Federal Government in January 2007.
Etisalat has been the telecommunications service provider in the United Arab Emirates since 1976 and has footprints in 18 countries traversing the Middle East, Asia and Africa. In its many years of operations, it has built up state-of-the-art telecom infrastructure and taken a leadership position of innovation, and quality service delivery among regional and international operators.

Responsibilities:
Provide support on all operational TXM equipment and facilitate PAT of new integrated BSS and TXM/ ADM network elements.
Facilitate 99.5% network access availability.
Perform operation and maintenance of access, transmission and power elements to achieve network availability.
Assist the Manager-Access Support in the implementation of an effective framework for the operation and maintenance of the BSS.
Supervise change requests implementation and faults escalation and resolution; and ensure TTs are accurately closed within MTTR by NOC.
Participate in acceptance of new BSS site, MW, ADMs and power plants according to scope and BoQ.
Ensure execution of routine and corrective maintenance as scheduled for all active and passive elements on site.
Ensure effective supervision of vendor/ sub-contractor performance and other related activities (telecommunications equipment monitoring).
Ensure effective diesel delivery and consumption within assigned cluster.
Facilitate resolution of community-related issues.
Generate incidence report for network outages – weekly and monthly reports of cluster performance.

Qualification/Experience:
First degree or equivalent in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and/ or any other relevant discipline.
At least two (2) years’ directly relevant post-NYSC work experience in:
GSM access/ transmission.
VSAT.
Multiplexers.
Fibre.
SDH MW links.
Power systems.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Good time management skills.
Good computer literacy (MS Office, MS Projects, AutoCAD).
Good reporting and communication skills.
