Job Description
Channel sales is responsible for developing and executing sales programs to improve the execution of the company Partner software sales that help meet revenue objectives and advances the SWG overall strategy and business results by leveraging partnerships. It includes the areas of Smarter Commerce, Smarter Cities and Enterprise Content Management, and the goal is to build a partner network for the solutions which are part of these areas.

Essential Job Functions:
Ensure ongoing business development through a wide variety of activities which would include and not limited to:
Sales execution driving brand deal clinics and competitive take out
Drive revenue objectives in CEWA
Pipeline development – assisting channels in defining, adapting, and executing brand sales plays
Pipeline protection - provide occasional SME sales support to maintain pipeline or assist in identifying channel actions with brand leaders
Team leadership – work with IMTs & IOT team to build & drive skills with all channel sellers and resources

Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree
At least 5 years' experience in Sales execution driving brand deal
At least 5 years' experience in business development through a wide variety of activities
English: Fluent

Preferred:
At least 10 years' experience in Sales execution driving brand deal
At least 10 years' experience in business development through a wide variety of activities

Job Description
The Storage Sales Specialist is responsible for developing Storage Brand/Product solutions that address client's business needs (both industry and business) and delivers client value while supporting Storage brand specific business strategies.

Responsibilities:
Maintains strong relationships with executives and influencers in the IT and Line of Business organizations in these accounts.
Thoroughly understands the client's business, including their organization, financials, competitiveness in the market, and business issues.
Creates solutions which are tailored to client's business needs and integrates the brand capabilities and competitiveness in a way that is valued by the customer and superior to the competition.
When necessary, understands and navigates the company to identify and acquire critical resources needed to develop the best solution for the client.
Thoroughly understands and applies the company strategies and offerings for the Storage brand.
Promotes Storage brand capabilities to develop a winning solution which addresses the client's unique business needs.
Maintains an understanding of the client's industry and how the client's business fits within it.
Understands the company’s storage brand/product capabilities in order to develop winning solutions that deliver client value propositions, are tailored to the client's specific business needs, and are superior to the competition.
Is aware of the company’s methods and models used in the solution and can articulate their value to the client.
Ensures that the solution design and delivery team has considered the appropriate methods and models in the customer solution.

Requirement Specification:
The Storage Sales Specialist has a broad knowledge of the features, functions and benefits of storage solutions and the storage portfolio of the company, including disk, tape, storage management software, NAS, SAN and virtualization, as well as an understanding of competitive offerings.
Candidates considering taking this position should have the following recommended skills and experience:
Approximately three to five years of experience selling IT storage solutions.
Capability to work in complex business environments.
Works independently a majority of the time.

Educational Qualification, Certificate and Training:
Demonstrable knowledge of and manufacturer’s certification on the company’s hardware architecture(s), will be a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or IT Technical Certifications is mandatory.
