Job Description
Emerging Markets Telecommunication Services (EMTS), trading as Etisalat, is a Nigerian company duly incorporated under the laws of Nigeria in partnership with Mubadala Development Company and Etisalat of the United Arab Emirates. Incorporated in Nigeria as a private company, it acquired the Unified Access License from the Federal Government in January 2007.
Etisalat has been the telecommunications service provider in the United Arab Emirates since 1976 and has footprints in 18 countries traversing the Middle East, Asia and Africa. In its many years of operations, it has built up state-of-the-art telecom infrastructure and taken a leadership position of innovation, and quality service delivery among regional and international operators.

Responsibilities:
Implement LANs, WANs, Internet Gateways, Data Centre Networks, Networks Security, and Cabling (copper and fibre) in order to ensure provision of critical services and support for both subscribers and internal users.
Plan and ensure implementation of IP Network switches and routers, wireless network, network security platforms and datacenter technology components using both internal and managed external resources/ suppliers.
Conduct acceptance of implemented solutions; ensure implementation is in line with best practice standards in order to ensure network security.
Establish and manage a solution life-cycle environment of test, development, staging/ QA and production systems.
Co-ordinate with Establish-Operate-Maintain (EOM) vendors for licence upgrades, up-to-date technology awareness and troubleshooting support.
Ensure achievement of high availability, capacity, quality and business continuity targets in data networks and infrastructure components of the IT environment.
Define Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) between external and internal customers in order to track, monitor and measure service delivery activities.

Qualification/Experience:
First degree or equivalent in a numerate and/ or technology-focused discipline, e.g IT, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, etc.
Relevant professional/ technical certifications, e.g CCNA and CCNP, will provide a distinct advantage.
Between one (1) and three (3) years directly relevant post-NYSC work experience designing, deploying and managing IP Network switches and routers, wireless, network security platforms and datacenter technologies.
