Information And Communications Technology Manager (ICT 11) Job Objectives • The job will be directly responsible for developing markets, sales and deploying new ICT products to meet company’s revenue projections. • The job will provide and oversee IT standards within the organization. • The job will manage the company’s ICT Business Unit and Business Development. Responsibilities: • He will take charge of developing markets and sales strategy for the attainment of company’s ICT sales and profitability goals. • He will be responsible for the performance and development of the sales and marketing team for the growth of ICT products marketing and sales. • He will take charge of setting sales targets for individual marketing/sales team members and the entire team and prepare action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects and penetration of new markets. • He will interact effectively with government agencies and other stakeholders ensure growth of company’s technology products. • He wil co-ordinate after sales technical services to ensure optimum performance of products. • He will provide training on ICT products to all stakeholders – staff and customers. • He will plan and execute marketing and sales campaigns including launch of new products. • He will be responsible for customer feedback and market research and maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. • He will provide timely feedback to management regarding sales and team performance. • He will provide timely, accurate and competitive pricing for ICT products • He will provide up-to-date information on competitors’ activities. • He will agree ICT service standards with all stakeholders and ensure that proper access controls and data protection arrangements are in place for all ICT systems in-house. • He will ensure that effective ICT provision is in place to support the business and maintain an ICT strategy that ensures that the company is prepared for changes in its nature of business, ICT technology and market developments. • He will lead and manage the ICT function, setting direction and standards for service delivery and provide customer focused service to both internal and external customers. Skills: • He should have good analytical skills with excellent oral and communications skills • Relationship management and good networking. • He must have excellent sales, marketing and presentation skills. • Should have good presence. • In depth knowledge of software, hardware and LAN/WAN integration are necessary. • Familiarity with e-marketing and B2B Marketing will be an advantage. Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, computer technology is required. He should have had years of selling and developing the markets for an ICT/telecom product. Possession of an MBA will be an advantage. 10 years experience in ICT management and sales will be an asset. Key Performance Indicators: • Sales and revenue targets achievement –quarterly, half yearly and annually. • Profitability achievement • New customers acquisition/new markets penetration. • New products/services launch and sustainability • Growth of the ICT Business Unit. • Success of entire marketing/sales team; performance of individuals against KPIs and targets. • Customer feedback/status • Market intelligence/competitors’ activities • Control of budgets and expenditures within targets • Adherence to all business policy and procedures • Brand/advertising awareness Reporting Line: • The position reports directly to the managing director/chief executive officer.
