Topic: Vacancy: Lawyers with experience in Land Law/Land Administration WANTED!!!

This imminent DFID project aims to:

a. Design and install a more effective system for making serviced land available for new investment
and expansion in selected States;

b. Develop simpler, more transparent procedures for investors to acquire secure title to property and
reduce the cost of land transactions; and

c. Simplify and streamline the procedures for obtaining construction permits to allow investors to
develop land quicker and at a lower administrative cost

Your role shall include providing legal advise during project implementation and as needed, drafting apposite bills for State and Federal agencies

Work Experience
At least 5 years relevant experience in roles involving land law, land management/land administration etc
Experience in working with land departments in governments particularly on land reforms initiatives
Demonstrated drafting competencies is very desirable
Knowledge of the land sector in regard to both urban and rural land would be an advantage, as is knowledge of the land sector issues at global and country level
