Vacancy for Business Centre Clerk

A new hotel opening up in Abuja requires the services of a suitable candidate to fill the above mentioned position.

OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
Provide efficient, prompt, trouble free and courteous secretarial, clerical, IT and related services to Hotel guests, in line with the hotel’s guidelines, service concepts.

TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PROVIDE COURTEOUS ASSISTANCE TO GUESTS IN MATTERS RELATED TO THE BUSINESS CENTRE
GENERAL
• Assists guest in photocopying, scanning, IT and courier services.
• Processes all incoming and outgoing faxes and e-mails accurately.
• Logs-in all entries in the log-book.
• Ensures that Business Centre, meeting room arrangements are up to standard and guest request.
• Ensures that all charges are appropriately posted.
• Addresses guest by the name whenever appropriate.
• Maximizes Business Centre revenue by actively promoting Business Centre facilities.
• Demonstrates teamwork by co-operating and assisting colleagues when needed.
• Carries out any reasonable request made by the management.
• Uses the “Make It right” approach to respond to negative comments and complaints, and notifies Administrator for appropriate follow-up.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have knowledge of Hotel PMS systems
• Must have OND/HND in Secretarial or Computer studies.
• Must have excellent skills in Microsoft office applications.
• Be able to operate all business centre equipment.
• Must be articulate and have good command of English.
• Experience will be an advantage.
