Grant Administration & Procurement Specialist
Our client seeks the services of a Grant Administration & Procurement Specialist for an upcoming project aimed at Supporting Improved Business Regulatory environment in selected states in Nigeria. The Grants Administration & Procurement Specialist will oversee the grants processes for a variety of project activities.

Specific duties for the role shall include:
Manage grants team
Review and approve grant applications and procurement activities
Negotiate and manage financial support for community groups, state agencies, and other project partners
Provide analysis, advice and implementation assistance to PMU as well as relevant national and sub-national government agencies and partners of relevance to project implementation
Support the development of work plans and budgets for emerging /new opportunities in collaboration with relevant project partners/agencies
Provide regular updates and reports to PMU on grant activities and respond to guidance from partners and head of PMU regarding program activities
Ensure all grants and procurement activities are in compliance of funder’s slated guidelines
In collaboration with PMU, work with State Team Leaders to identify new opportunities for deepening business environment reforms
Other appropriately assigned duties

Position Requirements
The successful candidate must have good knowledge of concepts and approaches relevant to grants/procurement administration; ability to conduct independent analysis, verification, identifying risks, formulating mitigating options and making apposite conclusions and recommendations. S/he must have excellent oral and writing skills; good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.

Education and Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field, advanced degree preferred; Proven ability to manage local grants, procurement and contracts support staff

Work Experience
Experience providing training and technical assistance to recipient NGO personnel
Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in a grants management or procurement function
Extensive experience with international grants administration and reporting requirements/standards
