A lubricant sales and manufacturing company based in Victoria Island Lagos is in need of a sales Engineer who would be in charge of all sales including Lubricant and other petroleum products in the company. The sales engineer will report directly to the Managing director/CEO.
Responsibilities:
• Sell the products and services of the company by utilizing knowledge of process capabilities and effective salesmanship.
• Work together with customers/regional and local Filing Stations Dealers and potential customers - Lubes, Fuel additives and other Petroleum products - by assisting in the design of our products to enable appropriate use of components, which can be produced/marketed by the company.
• Represent the company at Filing Station Dealers meeting, and other Lubricant customers.
• Evaluate inquiries and counsels with field representatives, Technical Services, Design Engineering and other departments, where appropriate.
• Visit customers and potential customers at their place of business [appointed regional filing stations] when appropriate to enhance relationships with customers and insure appropriate knowledge of customer needs and requirements.
• Maintain inter-company relationships and communications to provide liaison between customers and company.
• Develop and improve the relationship and company image with assigned accounts through utilizing principals of effective salesmanship.
• Coordinate internal sales activities for assigned customers.
• Analyze customer requirements and determine produce improvements and/or additions.
• Keep abreast of sales development and application of product.
• Work with customers to develop optimum product design to fit our capabilities.
• Insure that customers’ specific requirements are properly interpreted.
• Assist field representatives and customers in the evaluation of design modifications that benefit the company and/or the customers.
• Review proposals from Technical Services for clarity and to be sure they are appropriate and recommend changes when appropriate.
• Coordinate the dissemination of key quotations with field representatives, Managing Director.
• Coordinate development of new produce requirements between the customers and the company.
Requirements:
• B.Sc degree or HND degree in Chemical Engineering/ sales or any related field
• 3 years experience with at least on 2 years of lubricant sales experience
• Perform work in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintain a neat, clean work area.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new processes and methods, which may apply to the company now or in the future.
• Keep abreast of sales development and application of product.
• Recommend to Management, changes, which will improve sales effort.
• Perform various duties, as assigned by Management
• Must be able to use Microsoft office suite effectively
