MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT– WAM 004
Position summary
The Management Accountant will analyse and report on key financial data within the organisation, ensuring that managers receive timely, accurate and relevant information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• To coordinate and maintain arrangements for the accurate assessment of accruals including the provision of analysis of key variances and its implication for the balance sheet and cash flow.
• To guide operational managers and Accountants in the formulation of financially sound and accurate business plans, make available alternative financial options whilst maintaining corporate values, operational guidelines, statutory accounting principles, and ensuring that business plan information is recorded accurately in the relevant financial systems.
• To assist in the closing of the Annual Accounts, supporting the business units where necessary, creating, implementing and monitoring processes and procedures around the creation of monthly forecasts
• To prepare periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
• To manage income and expenditure, sales, payroll and stocks
• To offer professional judgement on financial matters and recommend ways of improving business performance; negotiating for major projects, loans and grants
• To ensure safeguarding of tangible and intangible assets
• To coordinate financial and accounting advice to principal cost centre managers
• To supervise the provision of day-to-day finance support of management of expenditure and revenue projection
• To prepare monthly Journals for accruals and prepayments, for inputting into accounts

Qualification:
• B.Sc. in Economics or Business Administration and/or a professional designation such as ACA, ACCA, CPA
• 5 to 7 years of experience in strategic business planning, preferably in a related industry where the Balanced Score Card was used to monitor performance.
• An MBA will be a further advantage

Required Skills and Knowledge:
• Proficient skills on software packages – (Microsoft Office Suite Application)
• Proven data analysis skills and good organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to plan and prioritise own workload.
• Excellent level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
• Good influencing, networking and cross functional working skills

SECRETARY – WAM 005
Position summary
The Secretary will provide personal administrative support to the organisation. Duties include general clerical, receptionist and project based work.

Key Responsibilities;
• Prepare correspondence, reports, and materials for publications and presentations.
• Handle logistics for travel arrangements.
• Setup accommodation and entertainment arrangements for company visitors.
• Maintain Company’s calendar.
• Setup and coordinate meetings and conferences.
• Create, transcribe, and distribute meeting agendas and minutes.
• Answer telephones and handle in appropriate manner.
• Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
• Supervise other clerical staff, and provide training and orientation to new staff

Qualification:

• Degree in Secretarial studies
• Professional accreditation by the Institute of Secretarial studies
• 3 to 5 years of administrative and secretarial experience.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and telephone protocol. Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications.
• Pprofessional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type 60 wpm.
• Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel
