CORPORATE PLANNER – WAM 001

Position summary
The Corporate planner will collect, analyze and integrate key internal and external market information, including long-term macroeconomic and energy market outlooks, into a comprehensive corporate plan.

Main Accountabilities Include:
• Managing Strategic Planning process, that is, creating rolling business plans, financial models to meet revenue, profitability and productivity goals
• Defining investment plans and criteria for spending on solutions development and marketing.
• Creating Balanced Scorecard and also taking charge of its monitoring
• Creating Operations Plan to define and implement policies to support the business plan
• Monitoring Strategy and Business Plan effectiveness and recommending and implementing corrections.
• Handling annual revenue, expense and people budgeting and monitoring of the same on a weekly/monthly/periodic basis and reporting of the same
• Enable quality & productivity goal-setting and tracking, including determining the financial impact of delivery effectiveness programs

Qualification:
• B.Sc. in Economics or Business Administration and/or a professional designation such as ACA, ACCA, CPA
• 5 to 7 years of experience in strategic business planning, preferably in a related industry where the Balanced Score Card was used to monitor performance.
• An MBA will be a further advantage

Required Skills and Knowledge:
• Considerable knowledge of the financial markets and investment practices
• Good understanding of tax laws and principles
• Advanced usage of Project Management Tools and MS Office Suite.
• Well established contacts in one or more of the major financial markets
• Strong communication and influential skills
• Strong numerical and analytical skills;
• Strong direct and matrix management skills

HEAD, INVESTMENT BANKING – WAM 002

Position summary
The Head of Investment Banking will define and lead all business investment activities in order to maximise clients’ asset utilisation over the long term.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and Review the current portfolio of assets and carry out an assessment of their potentials and limitations
• Devise a long-term strategy to consolidate these assets under an independent single point of control
• Thoroughly research market conditions and developments and identify new business opportunities;
• Carry out Financial Modelling, then developing and presenting appropriate financial solutions to clients;
• Develop a specific plan of action for the management of assets through appropriate financial instruments capable of maximising return on investment without exposing these assets to undue risks
• Examine the feasibility and relevance of setting up a group’s own investment bank and make appropriate recommendations
• Produce regular reports on investment performance highlighting effectiveness and future plans.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance, Business Administration or similar field.
• Must have at least 8 years financial experience, of which 5 years must be from working for a renowned investment bank, capital management or asset management company.
• An MBA will be an added advantage.
• Professional Accreditation from CIBN, or other highly recognized Professional bodies


HEAD, ASSET MANAGEMENT- WAM (003)
Position summary
The Head of Asset Management will responsible for oversight of the company’s entire portfolio, he will also provide clients with business advisory services regarding sector investments.
Key Responsibilities
• Regularly interface with key business leaders across the company as well as its Board, to understand their investment objectives.
• Periodically review investment strategy and portfolio performance.
• Provide insight and perspective on market conditions and help answer investor questions and address concerns.
• Head investment strategy teams to establish the economic themes, rate and duration decisions, and sector weightings across all portfolios.
• Develop and implement effective strategies for all Asset Management functions, including market evaluation, residual risk policy management, periodic portfolio and asset segment analysis, and financial asset disposition activities.
• Maximize portfolio gains and revenue while adhering to and providing on-going input to the firms residual risk policies.

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration or similar field.
• Minimally, 8 years of investment experience with a top tier, reputable financial institution or an asset management organization that manages money on behalf of corporate clients.
• An MBA will be an added advantage.
• Professional Accreditation from ICAN, ACCA, CIBN, or other highly recognized Professional bodies
• Experience in presenting and articulating investment process and performance to high level executives and boards.

Required skills and knowledge:

• Indepth understanding of different asset classes such as equities, fixed income, derivatives and alternatives.
• Advanced knowledge of the financial markets and investment practices
• Knowledge of PMS (portfolio management systems)
• Well established contacts in one or more of the major financial markets
• Ability to communicate persuasively and to inspire confidence and credibility, both internally and externally.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills;
