JOB TITLE: Typist

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

General Statement of Duties: Performs responsible and confidential secretarial and clerical work; ability to operate a computer and conversant with clearing documentations.
Ability to prepare SGD from docs such as RAR, Form M etc without supervision is a major requirement.

Supervision Received: Works under the general and administrative direction of the Operations and HR department of the company.

Supervision Exercised: None

TYPICAL DUTIES INCLUDE:

Prepares and types correspondence, reports, memos, letters, etc.
Assists with administration in the logistics/Operations department.
Makes photocopies and file as needed.
Deputise for receptionist/Front desk occasionally

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Working ability to type and enter information into an automated system with speed and accuracy.
Considerable ability to prioritize work, research files, and problem solving.
Decent command of English (spelling, grammar and punctuation) to produce high quality documents
Must be able to type at least 50-60 wpm
Previous typing experience preferably in Word and Excel, SGDs, etc
Willingness to assist where necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

OND in Secretarial Studies.

EXPERIENCE:
2 – 3 years experience working as a typist/clerk in a logistics company
Experience in typing and preparing SGDs.
