HSE Advisor - Angola
In 2003, Subsea 7 entered the West Africa market. We have since built a spoolbase in Angola and have successfully executed work in all major West African countries with offshore activity. Our backlog is substantial and we expect significant growth of our business in the region in the next 3 - 5 years. We have therefore decided to develop the Subsea 7 West Africa organisation to support the work and sustain growth. We are currently have a core team of people, with all the project and bidding effort being seconded from other Subsea 7 regions. The West Africa management team will now be strengthened and key project and BA personnel will form part of the West African region. However, the region will continue to depend very much on the additional resources made available in the host regions. The size of the West Africa team has been determined based on the average workload we foresee in the coming 3 - 5 years. For this new organisation we are now looking for an experienced candidate:
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Involved in all Project HSE(Q) matters, providing a support function to the project team. Promotes the use of professional HSE(Q) tools, principles and objectives.
Aligns Project HSE(Q) Plan, objectives and systems with Company requirements
Supports project leadership in implementing the management system
Responsible for the co-ordination, preparation and delivery of the Project HSE(Q) Plan.
Supervises, co-ordinates and monitors HSE(Q) performance on projects
Assists project management team(s) in defining its HSE(Q) resource requirements
Identifies and co-ordinates worksite deployed HSE(Q) personnel.
Perform audits and implement the recommendations

Installation Project Engineer / Senior Installation Project Engineer
Main duties and responsibilities
Subsea 7 are looking for experienced Installation Project Engineers to work on a new deepwater project in West Africa. Candidates will have the opportunity to work in-country Angola on a rotational basis, and also offshore, supporting both construction & IRM activities as required. Field water depth is 1400-1600m, offering candidates opportunity to develop deepwater construction and intervention experience. Project operations are based on a defined rigid jumper construction scope with additional field intervention activities as required by client.
Onshore Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop procedures for work to be carried out by onshore & offshore personnel in accordance with Subsea 7 minimum standards. This includes liaising directly with clients and subcontractors
Be involved in Hazard studies & Risk Assessments of tasks detailed in the procedures
Design, check and/or supervise the design of installation aids and other equipment required for use offshore. Carry out the supervision of this through to fabrication and delivery, ensuring compliance with the overall project Quality Plan and Subsea 7 processes
Witness directly or liaise with Subsea 7 Inspectors to ensure that suitable contractual activities such as load test, trial fits, are being carried out in accordance with Subsea 7 minimum requirements
Be accountable for any engineering analysis of tasks relating to installation, to ensure the structural/operational integrity of the equipment during installation
Select suitable equipment to perform operational tasks offshore. Liaise with vessel departments and third party contractors to ensure all equipment is fit for purpose and fully compatible with offshore worksite
Provide assistance in the co-ordination/compilation of as-built material and commercial aspects of contractual variations from site/fabricators/offshore
Offshore Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the mobilisation/demobilisation of the vessels and ensure that everyone involved is aware of all safety and technical aspects of the mob/demobilisation
Provide technical briefings to offshore personnel ensuring that the overall working and safety philosophy of the project is fully understood by offshore personnel
Issue Procedures & Task plans ensuring that all relevant safety and quality issues are included
Provide technical assistance to all offshore personnel to permit work to be implemented in accordance with approved procedures
Identify any deviations from procedures and manage the change through Change Control procedures directly with Offshore Manager and Client. Manage and document the impact of change on the schedule, as-builts or anything else relating to vessel
Assist the Offshore Manager with the management of all project-specific third-party contractors confirming all technical & operational aspects of the contract are observed
Present / perform toolbox talks and ensure all safety and quality issues, either from Risk Assessments or procedures, are passed to all personnel involved in tasks, (ie. hold and witness requirements)
Note any contractual variations during project, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place to support commercial claims disputed upon completion of project
Ensure that the engineering logbook is updated through each shift with a thorough handover with the opposite engineer at shift changeover
Verify and be accountable for, either by client witness\video records\signed-off data sheets or any other means of recording critical activities which may or may not be highlighted in procedures

Lead Mechanic – Luanda Spoolbase
Main Duties and Responsibilities
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Mechanic Technician to work within a small and dedicated team responsible for maintaining and commissioning Luanda Fabrication Facilities and associated Spool Base plant including - Materials Handlers, Bulldozer, Heavy Trucks, Large Compressor Units and Welding Machines. Recording & Monitoring of the Maintenance activities in SAP. Management of the spares part inventory in SAP. Training of Angolan Nationals in technology. An overview of the role is as follows:
The role of the Maintenance Technician will involve candidates working to tight timescales candidates for the delivery of a high quality product and service to a variety of internal and external clients. Therefore, candidates should be familiar with delivering good service delivery in a timely and safe manner and within the guidelines set out within the Company's business management system
Typical duties will involve routine maintenance work of plant and equipment, fault finding, commissioning in conjunction with the project engineers, basic administration duties (Non-Conformance Reporting, fault reporting, product database management, work orders) and general maintenance tasks as required
