JOB TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER – RESEARCH & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

REPORTS TO: Project Director – Research and Development

SUPERVISES: Business development activities

JOB OVERVIEW
• Responsible for all Business and CSR Strategy Development activities including, identification and development of new CSR ideas for prospective sponsors

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze CSR Strategy Requirements of Stakeholders
• Develop a Needs Analysis of Stakeholders
• Develop and Present Business Presentations on CSR and PPP Strategy
• Conduct CSR Strategy Review and Planning Sessions for Stakeholders
• Implement Fund Raising Programs and Initiatives
• Develop Business Proposals for Strategic Initiatives and Projects that support Stakeholder
• Organize Business Presentations, Bids and Tender
• Network and Develop Strong relationships with all Stakeholders
• Provide Periodic reports on Performance of CSR and PPP Initiatives
• Manage GBF Donor Subscription Base
• Prepare and present summaries and analyses of survey data, including tables, graphs, and fact sheets that describe survey techniques and results.
• Consult with stakeholders in order to identify survey needs and any specific requirements, such as special samples
• Ensure baseline studies is carried out for all proposed project before the development of the project specific business plan
• Analyze data from surveys, old records, and/or case studies, using statistical software programs
• Produce documentation of the questionnaire development process, data collection methods, sampling designs, and decisions related to sample statistical weighting.
• Develop and implement research quality control procedures.
• Conduct internet-based and library research.
• Present research findings to groups of people.
• Edit and submit protocols and other required research documentation.
• Prepare, manipulate, and manage extensive databases.
• Provide assistance with the preparation of project-related reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
• Direct and review the work of staff members, including survey support staff and interviewers who gather survey data.

Academic Qualification
• First degree in Economics, Business administration or any social science related course.

Work Experience
• Minimum of five (5) years work experience with at least three (3) years managerial experience in a business consulting or capacity building organization.

Personal Skills
• Good knowledge of the issues, objectives and activities of the NGO sector is desirable
• Baseline knowledge of the Nigerian Business sector and ability to develop business plan and proposals.
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Able to influence, impart knowledge and counsel;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Able to set priorities and manage time effectively;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Able to work both independently and as an effective team member; and
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
