The IGI Test,Interview and the outcome

Following the advert by IGI for interested graduates to fill in the available positions in the Life Marketing Unit of the supposed member of the first five biggest Insurance firms in Nigeria, one would expect that IGI would give some credence to its reputation and some credit to Nigerian graduates.
It is unfortunate to announce to this house that IGI, according to a reliable source (me), is planning to pay an allowance of a paltry and disgraceful N5000 (Five Thousand Naira) to the new Trainees. This is money that is not paid to SSCE holders in the smallest factories and establishments across the country.
IGI forgets that such pay is not capable of taking anyone anywhere for a week, not to mention a month. To say the least, it is a sad commentary on IGI's claim to being a big Insurance firm and a sorry illustration of its exploitative tendencies. On what basis should anyone do such work? Does IGI expect those she recruits under such terms to put in their best?
Considering the fact that these new recruits would come into contact with remittances (monies) from customers, would IGI justifiably blame anyone who would help his or herself to the money, under such harsh working conditions? Its a sad day for this new recruits and the Nigerian graduate!! Further to the above scenario is the fact that IGI has NOT given an Offer/Appointment Letter to these new recruits. They have merely been asked to resume "on an assumption". In some branches, (I will only stop short of mentioning the branch in question for reasons of confidentiality) the new recruits have been asked to bring 100 prospects that they believe will be interested in buying the company's policies, when they have not been given an offer letter!!! Effectively there is NO CONTRACT!! Do they think Nigerian graduates are fools?
Yes there is a Global Econimic Meltdown, but is that an expalnation for the Moral and Ethical Meltdown that Employers are exhibiting now? Must employers stoop so low, as to reduce employees to mere dust? Does the fact that someone is not employed, imply that the person is a fool and does not deserve fairness? I implore the honorable members of this House to reject job offers that merely amount to insults. God will give us jobs. Let those who feel they should exploit us continue wallowing in their ignorance and greed. Someday, it may be their turn to apply to our companies. Turn down any useless offer. I did.

I cherished your comments because these class of people(employed) has forgotten that they were sometimes looking for jobs and would not have liked it if they were treated unfairly then. I so much believe that God will see us through and there is a way we stoop so, then we kick what God has prepared for us.
