1. Minimum Qualifications:
? BSc Accounting or B.Comm
? Completion of Youth Service

2. Essential Experience:
? years completed Articles at an Audit firm
? 5 years post Articles experience
? Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
? Knowledge of local statutory levies and taxes
? Pastel Partner and Pastel Payroll experience and skills

3. Skills:
? Analytical skills
? Good general computer literacy is required
? Good spoken and written English
? Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills required

4. Characteristics:
? Assertive
? Good communication skills
? Initiative
? Self starter and work without direct supervision
? Team player

5. Abilities:
? Ability to analyse and interpret financial information
? Ability to manage subordinates
? Ability to work under pressure
? Attention to detail
? Discretion when dealing with confidential information
? Good organisational skills
? High numerical ability
? Professional and ethical

6. Duties:
? Assist with budgeting process
? Complete monthly reconciliation for control, bank accounts and petty cash
? Ensure general ledger is a fair reflection of company activities
? Ensure financial reports are up to date and available as per request
? Implement internal financial controls
? Maintain fixed assets register
? Manage documentation relating to imports and exports
? Prepare journal entries
? Prepare month-end schedules
? Prepare monthly payments for creditors and tax
? Prepare year-end audit schedules
? Process daily transactions on Pastel Partner
? Reports to the Financial Manager of the Holding Company
? Run monthly payroll on Pastel Payroll
