Job Title: Subject Matter Expert - Service Configuration

Job description
The Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Managed Services (MS) is the appointed Subject Matter Expert responsible for one or more products’s offering of MS Product Area (MS-PA) within the Market Unit.

He/She shall play a key role on operational readiness and preparedness of quality delivery following the PA-MS business goals.

The SME shall be Subject Matter Expert on MS products’ offering including, but not limited to, Operational Assistance (OA), Operational Readiness (ORS), Establishment, Transition and Transformation solutions, Managed Operations and Field Operations. Must act as Product Manager within the Outsourcing Business Process with emphasis on “Solution Specification”.


• Execute MS operational plans for the Market Unit (MU) together with MS Sales Managers and other MS Delivery Managers.
• Apply Best-Practices to reduce delivery costs, make use of world-wide knowledge aiming to provide fast and reliable MS solutions to customer.
• Support business development initiatives in the MU by providing SME expertise and advice.
• Assist in tender processes from a product solution perspective.
• Support Sales organizations with Solution Specification, KPIs and Responsibility Matrices.
• Act as Solution Architect/Solution Manager (CSR) within the sales organisation
• Interface with Business Unit (BU) Product and other Business Unit Global Services (BUGS) Product Areas (PA).
• Promote MS portfolio by conducting product presentations and arranging MS workshops and internal forums.
• Implement best-practices and methods for new service products together with MS Sales teams and customers.
• Drive operational readiness activities based on Best-Practices and industry trends.
• Translate customer needs into feasible solutions focusing on Value Creation.
• Follow up and be updated of the development of new products. Costing and Pricing.
• Respond to customer requests for information or solutions.

Competence

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Engineering/IT/Telecoms
• 5-10 years in IT/Telecom Operations Engineering functions in pre-sales/Product Support positions and Back Office functions
•Basic Negotiation skills.
