Context/Scope

Consumer planning has a critical role and responsibility for proactively identifying and driving consumer insights in the business
Over the last three years the Consumer Planning and Research team has been transformed within the Diageo business. This has seen the team move away from research orientation and towards planning, focussed on:

Purpose of Role
· To champion & drive world class understanding of consumer attitudes, motivations and trends that can be leveraged to grow our brands
· To be the custodian of consumer insights

· To ensure that brand strategy & communication is founded upon a deep understanding of the consumer
To deliver Measurement and Evaluation for key advertising and promotional projects
Accountabilities
· To ensure consumer is at the heart of the brand (& customer) teams
· Support development of brand & implementation of brand strategy and communication through facilitating a deep understanding of the consumers (GAME planning)
· Insight development

· Understand the nature of brand teams needs
· Decode, scope, brief and manage the research process through ad hoc and continuous research projects
· Transform research outputs into simple, actionable implications
· Management of research agencies while ensuring efficient budget utilisation
Disseminate consumer data / research findings
· Monitor and communicate trade information, volumes and monthly tracker data to the business
· Ensure that consumer knowledge is clearly reported and interpreted within the framework of brand related issues
· Lead regular brand reviews, keeping the brand teams informed and updated
Driving learning into action from Measurement and Evaluation (M&E)
· Ensures Measurement and Evaluation (M&E) learning is applied to drive growth throughout the business
Develop and drive best practice within consumer planning and research
· Proactively searches & spins knowledge, ideas and capabilitiesDevelop and progress continuous measures
Qualifications and Experience
Graduate Calibre
· 3-5 years experience either within a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) organisation with a planning, brand & consumer focus, or a research agency background
· Experience in both quantitative and qualitative research techniques
Experience of the drinks industry is advantageous however not essential

Level: Level 5 (M2)
Location: Lagos
Purpose:
· Responsible for all kinds of payments of salaries and allowances to all employees (Mgt/Non. Mgt), including payment of claims, leave allowances and other one-off payments.
· Reconciliation of all payroll related accounts, and ensure accurate, timely and complete payroll inputs.
· Responsible for remittance of all salary related deductions to relevant authorities.
· Provide decision support to Human Resources with respect to payroll input, payroll policy formulations and accounting issues.
· Provide analytical support to HR as it relates to payroll planning and budgeting.
· Review and authorise all employees’ payment input and forward to payroll-outsourced provider for processing.
· Review and authorize payroll output from outsourced payroll provider.
· Other Payroll and Accounting or Financial Control responsibilities that might be assigned from time to time.
Context:
The Payroll Accountant will be implementing policies as it relates to payments to employees and other payroll related remittances including pension, Voluntary Employee Saving Scheme (VESS), taxes etc. He/She is to ensure full compliance with Control Assurance and Risk Management (CARM) controls on payment process in the areas of Payroll Administration and Payment.
Accountabilities
· Review of all payroll input and output for accuracy.
· Prompt payment of employees’ salaries and allowances through REMITA.
· Payments of employees claims, leaves allowances, advances and other one-off payments- Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) etc· Prompt remittance of all payroll deductions to relevant beneficiaries.
· Generate schedules and remit all statutory payments and other payroll deductions, Pension etc by Work Day 2 (WD2) after payment of salary.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Qualifications·
Graduate calibre plus membership of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or Degree level qualification in related field with relevant work experience.
· Membership of any recognized Tax Institute will be an added advantage.
Key Skills & Experience
· Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience with proven integrity.
· Ability to take commercial insights and translate into Organisation & People Agenda including good customer service.
· Proven ability to facilitate, persuade, influence and build credibility with all levels and all functions.
· Analytical, interpretative and decision-making skills.
· Excellent coaching and relationship building skills.
· Sound IT knowledge in the use of outlook, Excel, word and Powerpoint.
· Working knowledge of accounting package-SUNSYSTEMS (All modules) and HumanManager.
