1. Presentability of your CV

It quite disheartning when you see a couple of CV's out there. Your CV is the first point of contact between you and your employer. Tips to Writing a presentable CV, Keep it short, Present your assests such as qualifications, certifications, awards and training. Dates of Job History. etc

Do not design your CV not necessary.

2. Dress sense

Its not only when you wear a suite is the only time you will be said to have dress sense. If you have a crisp shirt and Tie, it passes than when you wear a suite that looks as if the suit is wearing you.
Ladies a skirt to the Knee is OK, The further down or up it goes gives away the essence of presentabiliy.


3. Preparedness

This is one of point to which even the employer is guilty of. Most employers send out letters on same day of interview. None the less comport yourself, settle in , take a look at the job position again, ask yourself what you know about the job role, imagine yourself as the recruiter and figure out what is expected of you. Take a look at the company profile, Lastly take a glass of Milk, research has proven that milk relaxes your nerve. The last thing you need is to be tensed so relax

4. Response at an interview

There are practice interview questions and how to answer them on the net, get them and practice it, people dont plan to fail but people fail to plan . not until you have an interview before you prepare for an interview, every week increase your word power by one new word, make an acronym that helps you remember the word. Be precise in your response to questions asked, lastly curtesy( dont sit until asked to do so, Your greeting matter, wear a smile on your face, Look in the face of your interviewer not their eyes) Its not everything you learn in a school environment, some in non social gathering , so avail your self to peer that discuss societal issues . Lastly, The one million dollar question that is always asked is "MAY WE MEET YOU'", always start with "MY NAME IS" not "MY NAMES ARE" or even skipping the introduction to go into other details.

5.Stay Focused

What makes a man is not how many times he falls down but how many times he rises learning from the past encounter. Confidence does not come in one day it is built. Your experience at an interview gives you an added advantage over someone that has not attended one.

Never feel bad when you dont make and interveiw,though human you need to brace up for the challenges ahead, go back to the drawing board and restrategise for the next one.


With this points in mind , am sure the next interview wont pose any threat to you.
