A consulting firm based in Victoria Island Lagos is in has a vacancy for an Account /Admin officer. The Account /Admin Officer will perform administrative, accounting and office support activities which may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, filing, and faxing. Extensive software skills are required, a solid Accounting background as well as Internet research abilities.
Responsibilities:
• To maintain ledgers, books and prepare checks.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable record keeping.
• Prepare a detailed spreadsheet of all monies received and deal with all financial institution of deposits
• Consult with the budget, finance and audit departments in all account matters and also suggest budgeting strategies for expenses
• Manage and supervise the office drivers and assistants effectively
• Manage project accounts from time to time
• Handle all logistics and procurement within the organization and any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
• B.Sc degree in Accounts or relevant financial field
• 2-3 years experience operating in the same capacity
• Experience in project accounting is required
• Good communication and writing skills
• Must be analytical and thorough and must possess hands on experience in people management.
