According to Robort Kiyosaki, the author of the popular “Rich Dad Poor Dad”: your journey to financial freedom begging’s when you start owing and running your personal business. The beauty of it is that it gives you control over your time and destiny.
Jack Weich said: “control your destiny or someone else will”. A lot of us our destinies are in the hands of our employers. They control our time, our finances, even our future.
Some time I ask myself this question: what would happen if someone like Aliko Dangote refused to approve the payment of salary of his workers in just two months? you know the thousands of employees at Dangote Group. So the consequences….. your guess as good as mine.

Nowwe have a vision to make Nigeria an industrialized nation in the year 2020. Some times I wonder why we had not thought of this all these years. How could you even expect the nation to develop without private sector participation in the economy? Recently, someone told me that Toyota, one of the biggest car manufacturing companies in the world, does not produce any of her cars components. They outsource them to other smaller companies while they concentrate on assemblage and marketing.

Japan’s economy today is driven by private enterprises and that makes it one of the most developed economies in the world today.

In1960 when Nigeria got her independence, her economy was the same as that of countries like south Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Ghana, Malaysia etc. we were even better than some of them as at then. Today South Korea is producing ships and planes.

The chief difference between developed and under-developed nations is that one solely depends on natural things while the other puts her mind to work on the natural things so as to make the best use of it.

We sell crude oil without refining it to developed nations while the developed countries put their minds to work to convert the crude oil into petroleum, diesel, aviation gas, plastic, and kerosene.

The export these converted products back to us at higher cost compared to what we sold the crude oil. I call that slavery.

A country remains poor when she consumes more than she produces. For example,Nigeria produces and exports less (crude oil) and consumes or imports more(chairs, machines, fabrics, computers even food). That is the reason her productivity scale will always read negative, which at the end translates to poverty.

To get out of this vicious circle we must consume less while we produce more. It is the same thing to the individual: for you to be rich you must be a PRODUCER.
