Under the auspices of the SIDHAS project whose objective is to reduce the burden of HIV/AIDS in targeted areas of Nigeria though strengthened delivery of high quality comprehensive HIV/AIDS services that are sustainable for long-term; HU-PACE leads the projectefforts to promote pharmacy best practices by providing technical leadership in strengthening pharmacy systems and pharmacists’ capacity to provide quality HIV/AIDS, STI, and TB pharmacy services both at the health facility andcommunity levels. We are hereby seeking qualified candidates registered with Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) to fill the under listed position
Pharmacy Specialist
The Pharmacy Specialist will provide technical and programmatic support to implement the integration ofquality care and support activities with primary focus on pharmaceutical carein HIV/AIDS, Anti-retroviral therapy (ART) treatment, Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS and TB. S/he will support capacity building to the pharmacy staff to implement quality services in these areas. S/he will report to the Senior Pharmacy Specialist and Zonal Manager in the zonal office.
Minimum Requirement Standards:
- B.Pharm and 2 – 4 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS with international pharmacy development programs; or
- B.Pharm plus MS/MA in public health or related field, and 1 – 2 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS with international development programs.
Job Circumstances:
- The job involves at least 30% local travel at short notice
- HU-PACE has a competitive compensation package
- The position requires the ability to use key computing applications and knowledge of different database (For e.g. MS OfficeSuite); DHIS or LAMIS a plus
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to extend working hours to meet deadlines and at short notice
- Ability to function effectively in multi-disciplinary teams to produce excellent results under pressure
