JOB TITLE: SENIOR NUTRITIONISTS
LOCATION: Lagos, Nigeria
JOB PURPOSE/SCOPE
To lead or manage the delivery of elements of the new products, claims and technology research & development for Nutrition Category brands in Africa. To contributes to delivering the growth requirements of the Business
To provide effective Scientific & Technical Stewardship for the Nutrition Category Business in support of the business purpose.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages one or more projects in support of local plans. Exercises a wide degree of independent, technical sophistication in accomplishing assigned objectives..
Ensures all work is conducted in accordance with written procedures (e.g. Quality Management System, Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures) and regulated Health & Safety requirements and Guidelines.
Independently designs and commissions experiments and carries out scientific work with an awareness of state-of-the-art technology. Maintains awareness of scientific literature to assist work progression and understanding.
Creates and maintains good working relationships within the Nutrition category (local Commercial teams and central R&D),
Ensures the maintenance of precise experimental records; the issue of reports at project milestones; written invention records to protect scientific discoveries..
Authors or co-authors internal reports, external publications and/or development plans
Identifies, challenges, develops and implements written procedures (e.g. quality and safety), methods and guidelines.
Ensures all work is conducted following good scientific practice (always) and Good
Ensures the use of Product Vision and LIMS to record the formulation, testing and specification of Nutritional Healthcare products
Defines new methodologies (including new technologies, new methods, processes or materials and assessing innovative technology and equipment to improve working practice(s)).
Ensures that agreed areas of the department are equipped, maintained and operated to standards expected by WHO
Reviews and approves Department quality documentation This may also include preparation of, or contribution to, Departmental quality documentation.
Responsible for highlighting own training needs and working with his/ her manager to develop a training plan and achieve training goals.
Responsible for training self and others in technology responsibilities (including coaching, mentoring and elements of personal development).
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE
HND/BSC-MSc in a Dietics related field
