Re: Great and full scholarship opportunity in turkey.
I am genuinely excited for all of you who were called. I had no idea things will move this fast. Y'all are lucky and blessed. Do not fret, be calm and respond to all questions as truthfully and aptly as you can. These people do not enjoy long english sentences especially if your accents are difficult to understand so try to be very terse and concise with your answers and be as clear as possible. Unfortunately during my time I had no interview so I cannot tell you what to expect or do. But I can assure you, they are set to select a great number of candidates especially from Nigeria this year as last year we were only 11 that were put through out of an entire country. And no, this was not the Turkish governments fault as they actually expected more from our government. Long story. No need for the long details. Just know that if you are well qualified, you will be chosen. Based on what I hear, the budgets have been increased substantially by their government to provide you with more than enough to take care of yourself when you get here. You will not believe it until you get here and see for yourself then you will know God has done something terrific for you. Anyways, make sure you prepare well, you have ample time to gather all your documents, originals, make passports, etc before the date of your interview. Leave no stones unturned and spend the money you can get to make sure you get everything you need to indicate your seriousness to them. That is all I can tell you. Looking forward to seeing all of you that get selected. God bless y'all man!
P.S: @realmorningstar4all I watched how you put all your efforts towards this and I am sorry it didn't seem to pull through. Please check your spam emails to be extremely certain you were not selected. All others too that were not called, I am sorry as well. There is always a next time...or even a much better opportunity in store for you tomorrow. Cheers.
Re: Great and full scholarship opportunity in turkey.
I would strongly advise those asking questions related to what documents they submitted and didn't to go try and get everything they asked for to show them during your interview. Arm yourself properly. You all know what to do. I know it may be seem a little funny far-fetched of difficult but it may impress your interviewers if you at least knew how to say at least a 'good morning' (Gunaydin - pronounced Gew-nai-dun' 'hello'(Merhaba-pronounced Mer-hah-bah/Selam pronounced Se-lam) or 'thank you'(Teşekkür Ederim-pronounced Tesh-eh-kewr eh-deh-reem) in Turkish. It may make them smile and show you are committed to learning. Use the internet to your full advantage to learn a few more words ıf you can and how ıts pronounced. Good Luck.

Re: Great and full scholarship opportunity in turkey.
I had felt like kipin mute initially perhaps pendin d annoucement of successful applicants as we've bin told dat would be done in a month's time. However,i later changed my mind in lending my voice 2 d thread owing to d concern i've 4 our undergraduate applicants on dis forum posed question as 2 why non of dem got d interview invite.Of a truth, mysef can't rili xplain wat could've bin responsible 4 dis cos i want 2 believe we've got intelligent folks here on NHJ.Be dat as it may, i wish 2 say dat some undergrads did get invite cos while i was on d queue dis morin @ d Turkish embassy in Maitama,Abuja awaitin 2 be urshered into d premises 4 my interview, shuld i say surprisingly?we also had 3 undergrads wit us on dat queue! Although one of dem whom i perceive 2 be an hausa guy 4rm his intonation, also speaks turkish language disclosed 2 me dat d interview exercise had begun on d 11th of dis month though cant ascertain weda undergrads hv bin showin up since. To dis end,our undergrads on d forum can stil kip their fingers crossed since final annoucement is stil a months time. Who knows?anytin can happen. Remember: It is not over until it is over.God bless you all...
Sincerely yours,
Michael.
Re: Great and full scholarship opportunity in turkey.
@Koleemfe,tenx a great deal my man 4 ur corroboration to my post.I noticed dat we d interviewees were few yestaday @ d venue of d interview,i dnt know wat transpired on ur own day.Anyway,I'm now on my way bak 2 Lagos in company of a new frnd i met @ d interview yestaday wit a bottle of Lacasera beside me.Pls,permit me nt 2 disclose d gender of d frnd.Lol... Moments of my interview was a little tension-soaked as d white guy rili quizzed and drilled me on series of questions though wit particular emphasis on my original application documents @ d outset. In all,i give God d glory cos i was able 2 respond 2 most of his questions correctly eventhough i must say here dat i'm nt comfortable wit d question of weda i'm a christian or muslim. Human resource Management expert wil agree wit me dat such sensitive question is unethical 2 be asked in an interview and i feel if Turkey as a country is truely desirous of quickly joining d European Union(EU), is high time they do away wit such kind of topics. But one have got 2 respond so u dnt sound disrespectful 2 dem.In d meantime,we now await final announcement of successful applicants in a month's time as said by d interviewer.Let me hear ur tale @ d interview wen we meet on 2go interactive later @ nite wen i get home.1 luv.
Re: Great and full scholarship opportunity in turkey.
I sincerely want to thank those of us that were bold enough to clear the air way on the UNDERgraduate issues. 5* for all of u.
May I conclude that for those of us that was not called was as a result of our religion being Christian. Am proud to b christian. Is well
