Applications are been accepted for Erasmus Mundus masters scholarships in media and globalization which is available to EU and non EU students. All students of Mundus Journalism can apply for Erasmus allowances for their second year masters program provided they have not been given an Erasmus scholarship or funding during their BA program. Their fist year will be spent at Aarhus university and the Danish school of media and journalism In Denmark. The second year will spent at the program of one of the four other partners.

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP

A group of universities and media outlets work together to run the program. The program helps to improve the skills of journalism, it is a two year degree offered through a unique blend of media studies, journalism and social sciences.

All students of Mundus Journalism can apply for Erasmus allowances for their second year masters program provided they have not been given an Erasmus scholarship or funding during their BA program. Information on the allowance will be given at Aarhus university after the course has begun. The allowance should be up to 230 Euros which is for 10 months.

The scholarship is in two categories. Category A is worth about 48,000 pounds which Is subtracted from the scholarshiop for the 2015-2017 session. There is also free insurance for holders of Erasmus allowance. Category B is worth about 23,000 pounds for the 2015-2017 session.

FIELDS OF STUDY

Scholarships are given for Journalism, media and globalization.

ELIGIBILITY

Category A: students for non EU students. Such students will have the 12 month rule applied to them that states that they should not have been residents or worked, studied or trained for 12 months over a period of 5 years in any of the 28 member EU Countries.

Category B: students from EU/EEA Countries

Must have obtained a higher degree

Students who have obtained an Erasmus master degree are not eligible for another scholarship

Students undergoing an Erasmus program cannot be involved with another scholarship

When applying candidates are assessed on the following criteria

Life experience, language skills, experience in journalism, motivation and academic background.
