YEAR 2016 ONLINE BUSINESS NEWSLETTER FOR NIGERIANS

A guide to choosing and starting an online business successfully this year

INTRODUCTION

Online business is business that you can do on the internet. They are strictly based on the internet. Before you start any online business programme, you must understand how it works. Many information marketers would not tell you the system of a particular business they wish to "introduce" to you, however you need to know or at least have an idea. You should do your best to make your own research on it. Ask questions especially to the person who wishes to introduce you to into the business. Find out the associated risks and how they can be minimized. What would be your potential earnings in this business?

A lot of people naturally believe that online businesses are not real. Some believe that online businesses are all about "marketing", "advertising", and "referral" systems which forces you to "bring" or "introduce" somebody to it. Others believe that online business involve scamming or fraud. These notions are not correct, therefore this article highlights the categories of online business, types and examples of online business under each category.

Before I proceed, let me introduce myself briefly. My name is Donatus "Don" Enebuse. I am an educator and an online businessman. I am an online currency exchange (FOREX) trader, business researcher and adviser. Check out my trader profile at www.forexfactory.com/sirdonayfx. Teaching is my hobby but business is my vocation. I am based in Ojo, Lagos, Nigeria. I have been in online business research (which has cost me a lot of money) since 2007, and have experimented with many online business programmes. My aim of writing this article is to guide people in choosing and starting an online business, moreover I don't want people to make the mistakes I made years ago, like starting without knowing the nature of the business. However there are some important and seriously high-profile online business programmes that I will be recommending here. I will be charging a moderate fee in order to give out the "business package" (training materials and tools for the business), and this is my share of the goodies surrounding the existence of such wonderful business as well as my modest reward for giving out such wonderful information to serious and able investors who want to take their business career to the next level. Having said that, let's proceed to see the categories of online business.

CATEGORIES OF ONLINE BUSINESS PROGRAMMES

There are three (3) categories of online business:

The first category of online business involves "selling of resources". In this category, you should have something to sell to the public. It could be a physical product such as imported goods, goods for export, locally made goods, industry standard fabricated goods, etc. It could be digital products such as software, recharge cards, multimedia, etc. You might want to sell an information about something you know very well which is packaged in form of a manual, guide or tutorial. This very option is called Information Marketing. It is the most common because information marketers use it to introduce people to business and "how to make money" programmes. The information you wish to sell here must be of good quality, tested and proven. Do not collect money and give people trash. Alternatively, you might want to provide services like bulk SMS units, e-currency exchange, etc. If you don't have any of these resources (products or services), you might consider being an affiliate (reseller) by advertising/marketing for people who have the resources for sale thereby earning commissions per sale. The drawback of this category of online business is that it relies mainly on advertising and marketing (e.g. Network marketing and multilevel marketing). You will make money only when people respond positively to your adverts. But if you have a strong marketing ability and creativity, you can make it big in this category of business. Another drawback is that it takes weeks, sometimes months before you can start making money. Many information marketers tell the public that in this category of business, people can start making money right from the first week. While this may be possible, it is not true in most cases. Some of the brilliant information marketers did not earn a dime in the first month of their marketing career. So be patient with this type of business for at least six (6) months before you modify your methods. You can advertise via your website, blog, email, forums, social media, bulk SMS, print media, posters, handbill, etc. The good side of this category of online business is that it requires little or no capital for startup.

The second category of online business involves "using your money to make more money." In this category, you are thinking of investing your money into something big so that you can make big money. Actually, this method is somehow unpopular. Why? Firstly, only those few who are ready to invest serious money are the ones who go into it (these few tend to be well-employed in a way so they wanna go bigger), while majority of people run away from it for fear of losing such a big investment capital (most of these majority are either under-employed or unemployed so they don't wanna make things worse). Secondly, those few who go into it tend to keep it to themselves and within their fellow big investors (for like minds sake, huh?). However this category of online business is where the big money is really found. The beauty of this category is that it does not involve advertising or marketing, you don't have to introduce anybody to it or sell anything. Just you, your money and your business. But the drawback here is that your required investment capital is somehow big (between N50,000 and N300,000) plus bigger risks. However it pays well: you monthly earnings could run into a million naira. This is why people who are into this category of business usually keep it under the carpet, and some keep a low profile of themselves in public. Some of those guys that you see driving big cars on the streets and visiting big bars and hotels are actually into this category of business. Some look like "yahoo boys" (online scammers) but they are actually big-time businessmen. An example of business in this category is online currency market trading, like FOREX trading and binary options trading. Starting from 2006 when information marketers began to greatly advertise and sell information in this category of business to the public in Nigeria, a lot of people went into online currency market trading, especially FOREX, and came out completely broke and worse-off due to improper knowledge and greed. To make things worse, most of the information marketers of those days did not have proper knowledge of the business they were selling to the public, yet some promised innocent investors quick and big profits, all in a bid to sell the business idea. So the investors put in their hard-earned money into what they really knew little about and expected big profits. Some were told that they could even start with $100, and in a bid to quickly grow this "pocket money", money-management rules were abandoned, greed set in and losses followed. Nowadays, quality information about online currency market trading has come into limelight. Another example in this category is strategic gambling such as casino punting and capital markets betting. How? Just as there are people who take away strategy from business and turn it into gambling, there are also people who add strategy to gambling and turn it into business. Remember, people who do these stuff profitably do not want to let others know about it. This may not sound convincing, except if you are the "venturing type" and it is this type of persons that do this "thing" and keep it away from feeble-minded fellows. One more example in this category is high yield investment program (HYIP). In this case, you would be thinking of investing a large chunk of money into a company that pays a nice percentage of your deposit as interest for a period (maybe a month), after which you can withdraw the whole thing and then think of re-investing it, or you can leave it there to yield more interest for another period. The problem here is that 97% of such companies are fraudsters, yet it is these fake ones that are rampant everywhere on the internet. So it is very difficult getting a genuine company for this programme. Worse still, some of the real ones don't last long.

The third category of online business involves "doing certain things online for money". In this case, you just wanna show up online, log into a certain site then do specific things like typing, clicking, filling forms, etc. and get paid. Two examples of this stuff are www.fiverr.com and paid online surveys. Fiverr pays $5 per task. Paid online survey companies can sometimes pay more than that, but the drawback is that the major ones that pay well don't accept Nigerians. I don't really know why this is so. However Nigerians can still register with them by using proxy connections, foreign addresses and phone lines. As for the minor ones, some of which may accept Nigerians, they might pay as 'much' as $0.5 (50 cents) for a task with less than twenty of such tasks coming in a month, and I'm sure you don't wanna be kidding yourself with that kind of stuff. We are looking for serious business. Not part-time stuff, okay? Yep. Unless you want to consider opening up to 10 accounts with different emails on a survey site. To know more about online surveys, visit www.naijastudentearns..com, and www.myopinionmoney.com. You might be encouraged by the nice article you see there on both sites. You can also do well here if you are creative and hardworking.

Note: Importation business or mini-importation business is not classified as an online business, however you can order you goods online and make payments online. The same goes for sports betting: you can play either online or offline.

MY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SERIOUS AND ABLE INVESTORS:

This section of the article is for those who want to

(a) make money without any adverts or marketing,
(b) invest at least N60,000 in an online business, and
(c) earn up to N500,000 monthly starting from the first month of the business.

Before you think of starting any of these recommendations,

(1) you should be employed already, that is, you should have something doing at the moment like a job or a business. Why? The truth is, you cannot be unemployed at home and believe you can fire your boss who is at work (you can only claim to fire your boss when you have a job). What I am saying here is, online business generally is not for those who are broke, or job-seekers. It is for those who wish to promote their finances to the next level. Some online business "believers" think that a jobless person can start an online business with little or zero startup cost. This is a serious lie, and many information marketers often tell people this particular lie just to sell their business idea quickly. Look, even if the business does not require startup fees, what of maintenance costs like adverts? Perhaps, you think there is a zero-capital online business without maintenance costs like advert fees? Sorry, there isn't, honestly speaking. Please don't borrow to start up an online business. First, get a physical job, like factory work, teaching, receptionist, hotel work, clerk, secretary, business centre attendant, shop attendant, etc. It is this job that would sponsor the startup costs and/or maintenance fees of your online business until it is time for the business to start pumping out liquid cash for you. Even if you won't be paying for adverts, won't you pay for your internet connectivity, recharge cards, electricity? Please get a job first. You cannot start from nowhere, you must start from somewhere. When information marketers say you can start from "zero", it does not mean you can really start from "absolute zero". Get a place to stand, then you can move your world.

(2) be ready to learn and think big; be calculative, businesslike and know your convictions. Be ready and eager to invest big. After all, you want to go into something bigger than your current employment level, right? Then why must you think you would invest "peanuts" in order to start such a big thing that would earn you hundreds of thousands of naira monthly? Come on, think like wealthy men.

(3) have the required equipments. All online businesses require a fast computer (not phone, please) and a fast internet connection. Be ready to provide your own electricity if commercial power is not stable enough for your business.

There are two (2) online businesses I strongly recommend for any serious-minded investor:

(1) Online currency market trading. I recommend a minimum startup capital of $500 (N150,000) for FOREX trading, and $200 (N60,000) for binary options trading. I have a package of well-researched manuals, strategies and tools as well as automated systems and trading software for FOREX trading and binary options trading, so let me know (by e-mail) if you need them. Your potential earnings here is up to $1,000 (N300,000) monthly.

(2) Strategic gambling. Though it might be sending shivers down your spine, it is a real and profitable business. My European buddy who introduced me to this stuff is a full-time punter and that is what he does for a living up till now. If you like, keep doubting it. Profitable punting strategies are not easily revealed online even by the most professional gamblers; and if one of such experts wishes to teach you a nice strategy, you would have to pay a good price for it so that you would value it. I have another package of well-developed strategy which have been tested to be up-to-date. The package also contains an automated punting software, as well as guide for the type of game, casino hours and how to keep your money safe, so let me know (by e-mail) if you need these either. I recommend a startup capital of $200 (N60,000) for casino gambling. Your potential earnings is up to $2,000 (N600,000) monthly.

You can call my phone line for one-on-one trainings. This would cost you far more than the cost of the packages, take note.
