Accordingto Robort Kiyosaki, the author of the popular “Rich Dad Poor Dad”: your journeyto financial freedom begging’s when you start owing and running your personalbusiness. The beauty of it is that it gives you control over your time anddestiny.
Jack Weich said: “control your destiny or someone else will”. A lot of us ourdestinies are in the hands of our employers. They control our time, ourfinances, even our future.
Some time I ask myself this question: what would happen if someone like Aliko Dangoterefused to approve the payment of salary of his workers in just two months? youknow the thousands of employees at Dangote Group. So the consequences….. your guessas good as mine.

Nowwe have a vision to make Nigeria an industrialized nation in the year 2020. SometimesI wonder why we had not thought of this all these years. How could you evenexpect the nation to develop without private sector participation in theeconomy? Recently, someone told me that Toyota, one of the biggest carmanufacturing companies in the world, does not produce any of her carscomponents. They outsource them to other smaller companies while theyconcentrate on assemblage and marketing.
Japan’seconomy today is driven by private enterprises and that makes it one of themost developed economies in the world today.
In1960 when Nigeria got her independence, her economy was the same as that ofcountries like south Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Ghana, Malaysia etc. we wereeven better than some of them as at then. Today South Korea is producing shipsand planes.
Thechief difference between developed and under-developed nations is that onesolely depends on natural things while the other puts her mind to work on thenatural things so as to make the best use of it.
Wesell crude oil without refining it to developed nations while the developedcountries put their minds to work to convert the crude oil into petroleum, diesel, aviation gas, plastic, and kerosene.
Theexport these converted products back to us at higher cost compared to what wesold the crude oil. I call that slavery.
Acountry remains poor when she consumes more than she produces. For example,Nigeria produces and exports less (crude oil) and consumes or imports more(chairs, machines, fabrics, computers even food). That is the reason herproductivity scale will always read negative, which at the end translates to poverty.
Toget out of this vicious circle we must consume less while we produce more. It isthe same thing to the individual: for you to be rich you must be a PRODUCER.
