Job Title: Web Content Manager

SUMMARY
This position is required in the Information Systems Unit of the Cross River State ICTD Department. The holder will be responsible for the editorial content of all information published on the CRSG web applications.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Reports directly to the Special Assistant (Information Systems)

• Reads through every item of content before it is published on any of the CRSG websites or internal web applications to ensure that they are free of spelling, punctuation, grammatical and other errors.

• Verifies that content already published on CRSG websites and internal web applications are free of spelling, punctuation, grammatical and other errors.

• Manages and coordinates the day to day activities of the Web publishing team.

• Provides appropriate descriptions where required for photographs published on CRSG websites.

• Ensures that content on CRSG web applications is up to date at all times.

• Archives outdated content in a manner that ensures that they are easily retrievable.

• Drives all initiative aimed at obtaining information for publishing on CRSG web applications.

• Works closely with the Web Content Administrators to ensure that information is obtained, edited and published in a professional and timely manner.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Heads the Information Publishing Unit and supervises Web Content Administrators.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Ideal candidate will possess a degree in English Language or a media related field with at least 5 years experience in a similar role.

Candidate MUST have very strong written and oral communication skills. He/she must have good organizational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent spoken and written English Language communication skills are essential for this position.
