Chief Technical Officer CTO

Job Description

The successful Chief Technical Officer will look after a range of exciting software development projects for the Firm and will play a key role in team development, mentoring and motivation. Excellent line management skills are a must have.

The Ideal candidate will perform two key roles within the organization;

1)Product/Platform Architecture: lead the detailed architecture design and development of the company’s products and platforms. He/she will be expected to produce fully detailed UML based architectures comprising of use-case, sequence, class, component and other views as necessary to allow the design team to successfully develop products and services embarked on by the company.

2)Supervise a team that will comprise of, software developers, and application support, network and systems engineers. He will also make sure that projects are delivered on time and to budget.

Requirements


-A degree in Engineering or Computer Science or any related field
-Detailed knowledge and understanding of programming languages including C#, Java (J2EE and J2SE), C++ (desirable) and SQL
-Experience of OO methodology and programming
-Cross-platform development and/or design experience (Linux, Windows etc)
-Detailed knowledge and experience of UML
-Experience in software systems architecture
-At least 6 years practical experience with at least 2 years in similar role

-Also supervise the installing and configuring Microsoft Windows servers, MS Office, and other applications team.
-A Project Management Certification is an added advantage.
