PROJECT AKELIA
So many youths, graduates and jobseekers look forward to having a high paid job. Unfortunately, the reality is that gainful employement opportunities are scarce. Ask yourself, do I have a career path in mind? Do Iknow exactly what I want in terms of mycareer? Do I know what I’ll be best suited to? You need to provide answers to these questions if you must have a happy and fruitful career because you’ll spend a great proportion of your life at work. It pays to choose and manage your career wisely and now is the best time to do so.
“Project AKELIA” a Business Management and Entrepreneurship Skill Development Initiative to enable youths, graduates and non-graduates enhance their employability and career skills for Immediate employement and gainful. The main objective behind project AKELIA is to help reduce the rate of unemployment to the barest minimum.
The project is designed to train at least 5,000 youths per project year in the areas of Business Management or Social Entrepreneurship as well as Independent Consulting with specialization options in
  • Banking and Financial Services
  • Energy and Sustainable Resources
  • Sustainable Agriculture
  • Environmental Health and Management
  • Health Promotion and Education
  • Hospitality and Service Industries
  • Computer and Information Communication Technology
  • Business and Management Consulting
  • Building, Construction and Real-Estates
  • Programme/Project Development and Management
  • Arts and Creative Designs etc.
This project brings together academic knowledge, competitive and practical skills highly valued in the Labour Market. It develops in participants both professionalism and management competence and participantswill gain the strongest possible foundation for success in any business environment whether as Employees or Entrepreneurs.[FONT='trebuchet ms', helvetica, sans-serif]
[/FONT]Participants are to study for a period of 8-24 weeks after which they will be eligible to attend an Evaluation Workshop to evaluate their understanding and the evaluation will form the basis for the award of a Career Certificate in their area of Study.The Course Module for the Programme Include:

  • Operations Management
  • Organizational Leadership

  • Information Management
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Career Option
Successful Participants will be awarded a Career Certificate indicating their specialization options. They will also have the prospect of 3-6 Months Graduate Internship after which based on their performance, they will be provided neccessary assisted to start their own Business or Social Venture, or gain employement with employing organizations.


A registration form for the programme can be obtained at =N=500 only.


The Programme fee is free till the 2,500th candiate for Self-Study.


Sponsored participants will be required to pay for their Certificate and Postage Fee after their evaluation.

The project will require not less than 320 Trainers/Instructors, Project development officers, Monitoring and Evaluation officers, Accounting and administrative officers, Management Trainees etc to work within Akwa Ibom, Kano, Edo, Lagos, Imo and Abuja then to 24 States and Finally the entire 36 states of the country.

This Project provides participants the opportunity to lay a fine foundation for their future career wise, because they will gain skills that will make them desirable as a job candidates, give them a positive attitude and keep them well-motivated to face the challenges of job-seeking. Some of the skills acquired during the course of the training will also be useful in participants everyday day life and relationship outside of work.

This initiative was born out of the vision of those who had experience the challenges, frustration and difficulties of seeking for a job in the Nigerian labour-market. The project aims help participant cushion the negative impacts of unemployment by keeping them engaged in activities that will provide for them and others gainful and immediate employement as entrepreneurs or employees of organizations.Registration is important as sponsorship for programmes is available only to those who have registered for the Project.
