Vocational Training for PPE/Garment Making

The Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA) is an Agency of the River State Government set up under a legal framework to address challenges in the areas of poverty alleviation, grassroots development and youth empowerment in the State. RSSDA is exploring partnership opportunities to set-up a factory to produce and supply Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Safety Coveralls/Garments for the industrial and productive sector.

The factory requires qualified people of River State origin to apply for its Six(6) Months intensive Technical and Vocational Training for PPE/Garment Making. This training programme will provide useful technical skills for possible employment at the proposed garment factory and serve as an entry point for young persons interested in building a career in garment making.

Highly motivated and talented young Rivers persons who are interested in their personal development in this sector are encouraged to apply. The qualifications and experence required are as follows:
a) SSCE/NECO Credit Passes in English Language and Mathematics
b) Ability to read and write in English
c) Knowledge of measurement, shapes and drawing will be an advantage
d) Preference will be given to candidates of Rivers State origin, who are no more thn 30 years of age as at 31st December, 2011.
