JOB SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for the following:
· Planning publicity strategies and campaigns;
· Writing and producing presentations and press releases;
· Dealing with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organizations;
· Organizing promotional events such as press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours and visits
· Speaking publicly at interviews, press conferences and presentations;
· Providing clients with information about new promotional opportunities and current PR campaigns progress;
· Analyzing media coverage;
· Commissioning or undertaking relevant market research;
· Liaising with clients, managerial and journalistic staff about budgets, timescales and objectives;
· Designing, writing and/or producing presentations, press releases, articles, leaflets, ‘in-house' journals, reports, publicity brochures, information for web sites and promotional videos.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR THE POSITION


· Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to use the computer and work with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project Management packages.
· Excellent presentation skills
· Ability to take initiative and make on- the – spot decisions
· Ability to work tight deadlines and deliver on agreed targets.
· Ability to prioritize and plan effectively
· Awareness of different media agendas and an understanding of how they work.
· Creativity.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

2-3 years experience working in a similar role

QUALIFICATION
A degree/HND in the humanities or social sciences i.e. language and communications, management, business or media studies, marketing or behavioral sciences from a reputable institution. Membership of a recognized PR body will be of added advantage.
