The aim: 1) To reduce the cost of producing cash 2) To reduce the cost of transportation and securing cash 3) To open door for International marketing in Nigeria. 4) To bring the unbanked and under-banked Nigerians into the banking system, Etc Statistics showed that there is about 170million Nigeria amongst 150Millions are GSM users but sadly, only about 20% have bank account. Meaning about 80% of Nigerians do not have access to banking system but they use GSM phones and use cash. Therefore, CBN to bring these people (about 80% Nigerians) into the banking system coupled with the aim specified above, gave the following companies license to implement the Cashless policy. 1) VTN 2) UBA (U-Mo) 3) Fortis, Etc Meaning of cashless: No/Limited cash for transaction in Nigeria. How to do business/transaction: The use of mobile electronics like ATM, Mobile phones, computers/internet, etc CBN policy states that to withdraw money less than N150,000 (individually) you should use any of the above mentioned gadgets or else you will be charged heavily for withdrawing on the counter. VTN: This is one of the companies licensed by CBN as stated above and now to do this business, VTN is looking for Master Agents/Instructors who will act as middle men between them and the end user in both rural and urban areas.
