JOB SUMMARY



  • Preparation of timely weekly/monthly financial and management accounting reports/information to all stakeholders
  • Efficient management of allocated Working Capital
  • Management of all taxation matters and company financial audit procedures
  • Alignment of organizational plans with budgeting preparation
  • Efficient management of all company accounts
  • Establishing a good corporate relationship with the existing banks
  • Establishing a good corporate relationship with the relevant statutory bodies
  • Efficient internal management of staff payroll
  • Development of financial strategies to support growth initiatives
  • Improvement on all finance processes for efficiency, quality and cost reduction
  • Presentation of audited financial statements as at when due.
  • Correct/prompt posting of Financial Transactions
  • Development of all other accounting personnel in the accounts department.



REPORTING TO: The CEO

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR THE POSITION



  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of professional skill and/or knowledge in accounting and keep up-to-date with current developments and trends.



  • Ability to use applicable information technology and systems to meet work needs



  • Ability to collect data to assess accuracy and integrity; analyze data; ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations and systems of internal control; interpret and evaluate results, prepare documentation; create financial reports and/or presentations.



  • Knowledge of effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions and/or reaching conclusions; take action consistent with available facts, constraints, and anticipated consequences.



  • Able to supervise, recruit, select, counsel, discipline, establish performance standards and evaluate performance of all direct reports; administer and ensure compliance with human resources policies and procedures.



  • Monitoring and assessment of work, provision of feedback/ technical supervision; develop knowledge, skills, and abilities of direct reports; plan for and support them in career development opportunities.



  • Able to communicate information to individuals or groups; deliver presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audience.



  • Ability to clearly and concisely convey information orally or in writing to individuals or groups to ensure that they understand the information and the message.



  • Ability to establish effective working relationships that foster organizational success.



RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
4- 6 years’ experience as an accountant working in a managerial level.



QUALIFICATION
A degree/HND in accounting or accounting related field from a reputable institution.
Professional membership with a registered accounting institute and masters’ in an accounting related field will be of added advantage.
