Chief Technical Officer CTO
Job Description
The successful Chief Technical Officer will look after a range of exciting software development projects for the Firm and will play a key role in team development, mentoring and motivation. Excellent line management skills are a must have.
The Ideal candidate will perform two key roles within the organization;
1) Product/Platform Architecture: lead the detailed architecture design and development of the company’s products and platforms. He/she will be expected to produce fully detailed UML based architectures comprising of use-case, sequence, class, component and other views as necessary to allow the design team to successfully develop products and services embarked on by the company.
2) Supervise a team that will comprise of, software developers, and application support, network and systems engineers. He will also make sure that projects are delivered on time and to budget.
Requirements
- A degree in Engineering or Computer Science or any related field
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of programming languages including C#, Java (J2EE and J2SE), C++ (desirable) and SQL
- Experience of OO methodology and programming
- Cross-platform development and/or design experience (Linux, Windows etc)
- Detailed knowledge and experience of UML
- Experience in software systems architecture
- At least 6 years practical experience with at least 2 years in similar role
- Also supervise the installing and configuring Microsoft Windows servers, MS Office, and other applications team.
- A Project Management Certification is an added advantage.
Other requirement:
- Good team player
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Age-between 32-40year
- Ability to work under no supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
We are currently developing enterprise software solutions that tailor to the public sector and large corporate organizations including; ERMS, HRMS, Procurement, Stock taking, School, e-payroll etc.
Note:
We need some with 70% software development experience and 30% hardware.
