DUTIES
- To prepare and serve food and drink, in accordance with the health and hygiene regulations to meet the daily needs of the customers and staff.
- Duties will involve till operation, food service, customer service, cleaning tables, coffee machine operation and general cleaning duties as required,
- To maintain the kitchens, bins, dining areas, floor areas, tables and all other catering related areas, to the highest standard of cleanliness.
- To report to the Catering Manager/Catering Supervisor any matters of concern which affects the day-to-day operations of the department.
- To communicate efficiently and effectivley in a friendly and positive manner with visitors and other members of staff and managment to create a pleasant atmosphere at all times.
- To ensure a clean and tidy appearance whilst representing the farm at work. Making sure that make-up and jewellery are kept to a discreet minimum and that long hair is tied back.
- To undertake staff training which, from time to time, may be determined.
- Ensure that events are properly equipped and executed by transporting, pulling, setting up and breaking down, as well as returning equipment to designated storages in compliance with event standards and instructions.
- Perform side work by helping to provide a safe and clean work environment.
- Clean, organize and restock equipment/product returning from catering events.
- Understand safety responsibilities as well as environmental laws by following established procedures, policies, training and involvement activities.
- Perform other duties that could be assigned.
REQUIREMENT
- Must be at least eighteen years of age to serve alcoholic drinks.
- Must be able to read and understand simple instructions, memos and short correspondence.
- Have not less than two to three years of banquet service or external catering experience or its equivalent combination of education and experience.
