i must confess ur thoughts are a true reflection of wat bothers me most wen i think of me in the next few years in my career, i would gladly go for passion anytime anyday than money.
i will give you a clear example, in my place of service i found out that challenges were simply non existent even though it belonged to the oil and gas sector most people dream to work in, but i was exposed to the rather sad and harsh reality of the place. perharps if given a chance 2 work there i would oblige just for the finances i can get in a few years and thereafter move on to pursue my dream and what truely lights up my world. cheers
is better to have loved once and lost than not 2 hav loved at all
Well i think we can view it from 2 angles
1. short time
2. Long time
you might need money to meet your immediate needs and class in the society but the truth is that wat really sustains a man is doing wat he like doing best. cos the best and fulfilling money you can make is by using you passion and talent.
Also remember that wealth and riches is not measured by how much you earn, but how can you manage what you earn.
I stay in port harcourt and have seen men working in Oil companies and who their lifes and physical appearance is not different from a well cultured school teacher.
So i think i will go for my passion in an environment that has good prospects, and rewards adequately.
Are u happy with what u are doing?.............

you can't waste time instead time will waste you
i personally think passion is more important. One of the Key performance indices of any organisation is the passion the employees display to work. The word "passion" is all encompassing because it cuts across.Passion for work, passion for customers, passion for teamwork etc.
Every employer of labor wants to see the fire of passion burning in their prospective employees, thats why companies have devised new methods of conducting interviews.
Unfortunately, in this part of the world money comes first before passion. The passion for excellence is what makes multi-million dollar companies like Sharp,Microsoft etc thick. A closer look at global trends in the world of business shows a paradigm shift from companies whose employees are money driven to companies whose employees exhibit a high level of passion and loyalty to the organisation.
For the short term, money as a young school leaver and for the long term passion. Above all, follow ur heart. CheersOriginally Posted by vivy
